Mother's Day 2012...continued

To add to the fun of Mother's Day weekend, my brother surprised us by flying in from Boston! (Apparently he told me when he was here for Whitney's birthday, but I dont remember the conversation the way he does...) It was so fun to see him pull off another surprise!

And of course the silly-face pictures continue, getting everyone involved!

And because Eric was in on the whole surprise, he was able to get video of Jay arriving at my parents' house!

Whitney absolutely ADORES her Uncle Jay. In fact, Im not sure who likes who more...They always fall right back into place, as if they had a playdate the day before and never missed a beat. Whitney can rope Uncle Jay into almost anything, and Uncle Jay is often known to start the fun!

I can guarantee you this was NOT Whitney's idea. She thought it was pretty funny until she wasnt sure if they would REALLY toss her in the pool! (Did I mention swim lessons are coming soon?? yikes.)

And of course, it wouldnt be a happy day without a few games of "Hide" and Seek! Guess who's under the blanket!!!

SURPRISE!!!

and AGAIN!!!

Grady's chunking up and filling out, feeling less and less fragile each day.  As I get him from his crib after each nap, I always think he looks way bigger than when I laid him down :)

Grady is getting more interactive, really studying faces and starting to make little cooing sounds. LOVE it :)

Uncle Jay was presented with the challenge of putting princess gloves on "Belle". Whitney waited patiently as both my mom and I made note of how long it had taken each of us to get those gloves on Whitney, only to have her proclaim them "too hot" and take them off almost immediately. Uncle Jay accepted the challenge while we all watched the timer on his iphone tick, tick, tick....

1:24 and still workin' on it......

.....some cuteness while we wait....

.....STILLLL workin'...........

Whitney waited very patiently as we all giggled at Uncle Jay's efforts and determination!

.....and more cuteness to pass the time....

And finally! Three minutes and 22 seconds later, Belle had her fancy gloves on (for about 5 minutes). :)

Grady got some Gwamps cuddles :)

and still loves to show off his muscles :)

And Whitney and Gramps recreated the Magic Kingdom parade right in our play room!

All good things must come to an end, and on Tuesday it was time for Aunt Ger to head back to Ohio.  Whitney cried HARD this time, and I suspect "good-byes" will only get more difficult and sad as Whitney realizes her favorite people dont all live around the block. She wanted to "get on da airpwane wiff Aunt Gerrrrrr (waaaaiiiiiiilllll....sob, sniff, sniff), PWEEEEASE, Mommy, can I go on da pwane wiff her? PWEASE?" Ugh, Heartbreaking and adorable all at once.  LOVE that she loves my favorite Aunt :)

And he looks a little crazy-eyed in this pic, but you can really tell how red/auburn his hair is still. LOVE it and hope it doesnt change!!

Busy studying faces :)

Love that Aunt Ger has a matching purple clippy in her hair...lol. Hope she didnt get on the plane with it still in her hair! :)
We all had such a great visit and cant WAIT for her to come back SOON!

And our first attempt at a family pic. Not an easy task lately!

I have MORE great pics to share from Gerry and Jay's visit, and hope to get them up here tomorrow or tonight so I can focus on Grady's ONE MONTH update this weekend! :)
It is not NEARLY as easy to blog with two kids, little sleep, and a packed social calendar, but Im determined to keep it up since I have really loved looking back through the years and remembering all the little details of life.  Im really excited to write Grady's update!
