Easter and Birthdays!

As Grady's second birthday came to an end, the celebrating was just beginning! The next day was Easter and we had to plant jelly beans!

(the hat is a recent addition that she insists on sleeping in EVERY night. lol)

We planted jelly beans after Grady was in bed this year....(read: we forgot...until Whitney reminded us as she crawled into bed.)

Whitney knows that Mommy and Daddy are the ones who give gifts on Easter (and Christmas), and the bunny just makes the jelly bean "seeds" turn to lollipops overnight. :)

They were both excited to check out their baskets of goodies :)

We snapped a few decent family p ics using the timer on our camera and then headed to church to celebrate Christ rising from the dead!

After church, per tradition, we headed over to my parents' house for an egg hunt and yummy lunch.  My parents have fun hiding eggs for each kid with pennies inside (the candy can be tricky for Grady and Whitney is loving adding the money to her piggy bank!)

Here comes Peter Cotton Tail!

And in true grandparent fashion, they couldnt WAIT to give the kids their big birthday gifts! Before lunch was even served, Mac and Gramps whipped out the surprises!

Grady couldnt get out of my arms fast enough! He LOVED his Lightning McQueen!!

And then it was Whitney's turn for a big birthday surprise!
Close your eyes!!!!!!!

Gasp! Shock! Awe!!!

She fell to her knees in shock lol

"That's the Anna dress Ive ALWAYS wanted!!!!!!!!!!!!"

THank you Mac and Gramps!!!!!!!!!!!

She couldnt wait to get that dress on! So. Much. Fun!

She never wanted to take it off :)

Practicing for her appointment at Bibbity Bobbity Boutique!

"Grady, does Sissy look just like Anna??!"
"NahNah!"

(kicking myself for cutting her hair.sigh.)

I remember my mom and my Grandma Mac teaching me how to pinch my cheeks before taking a picture as a young girl :)

Im not sure who was having more fun!!

Love.

Then the fun moved outdoors to let GBass figure out his new McQueen :)

And Whitney got her birthday present from us....a new, bigger bike!

Lots of going on circles....

...and a few near misses...

His little thumb was purple from pressing so hard on the 'go' button! He loves it!

Thank you, Mac and Gramps!!!!!!

And what visit to Mac and Gramps' house would be complete without a golf cart ride!?

Since Grady's birthday was the day before, and Whitney's birthday was the next day, we did cake and singing on Easter.

Grady wasnt sure what to think lol

After some coloring with Mac and Gramps...

....and some games on Daddy's phone....

it was time to head home to rest up and get ready to celebrate Whitney's birthday the next day!
