Grady noticed Whitney's missing teeth and thought our own personal Jack-O-Lantern was so funny!
Bingo continued to settle into life as a Bass :)
Awana had a "Crazy Hair Night" and Whitney and I had fun making her hair Pinteresting :)
A 'W' for Whitney!
"The spiders were cool for school, but I want a 'W' in my hair for Awana tonight. Didn't you Pinterest that, like, last week?"
Ummm, okay. But you're five. If you're young enough to wear spiders and a W in your hair, then you're too young to discuss Pinterest. Kay? Kay. Good.
And we added some major flair to the front....as did Eric!
New Whitney funny: "I think being a parent is kind of a big responsibility since you have to, like, remember all the things and the stuff. So I think I might just skip that part and be a grandparent instead."
New favorite Grady phrase: "I did it, Mommy! Yeah!!!"

He had so much fun spending a rainy day with Mac!
This was a new normal after dropping Whitney off at school on Tuesdays and Thursdays :) LOVE IT!
Bingo didnt go far from Whitney's side. He lays by the door while she does her homework :)
and we learned that he doesnt like balloons:
I know Ive mentioned it before, but I have the BEST Aunt in the WORLD. My mom's sister, my Aunt Gerry sends us a package at least twice a month. The kids both get SO excited when the mailman drops a package at the front door and they always ask, "Is that from Aunt Gerry!!!??"
Aunt Ger sent silly straws in a package in October, and both kids LOVED them. They were entertained and cracking up together. Memories dont cost a lot and Im so grateful my Aunt Gerry thinks of our kids so often.
Now, if only we could get Aunt Ger to move here permanently!
Whitney reached new levels of cuteness :)
And while we tried to decide if we could get a FIFTH year out of Ms. Mandy's adorable candy corn creation......
...the man child and the mutt had a bit of a moment.
At one point, I may or may not have said I was taking Bingo back to the rescue we got him from because he did NOT like his cage and he was SO hyper. Believe it or not, Eric talked me off the ledge, and Bingo is a keeper. Lucky mutt.
We put out our orange Halloween lights and Grady was very excited! We started practicing "Happy Halloween!" right away!
Which then lead to discussions of Christmas decorations....and Grady welcoming the Polar Express!
"Hello, Everybody! Welcome to the Polar Express!"
And according to tradition, we headed to Epcot's Food and Wine Festival with Mac and Gramps!!
Mom and Dad had just received their iPhone 6Plus and Mom was a hit with some recent college grads....and they appreciated the selfie and the yummy orange drinks!
Dad met his wardrobe twin after the Starship show!
And this kid suddenly seems to be growing faster and faster. I dropped him off at school and said, "Bye Buddy! Have a good morning!" and he blew me a kiss and said, "Bye, Mommy! I see you waider..."
Bingo got an AWESOME gift from a high school friend! And his smile shows just how proud he is to wear his new Clemson collar!! Thanks, Lauren!!
More stuff like this happened and reminded me why I LOVE being a mom.
Spookley the Square Pumpkin was a FAVORITE with both kids all month long!
And now, just two months later, it is amazing to hear how much her reading has improved in such a short time. She was SOOOO proud of herself! Ill have to have her read it again to show her how far she's come!
We checked out a pumpkin patch a few towns away, and decided it will be an annual trip! The kids loved it!

The kids had a blast riding the rides and eating the kettle corn and getting faces painted!

This mutt.....he needed training. FAST.
I downloaded the TimeHop app to my phone. Its AWESOME and heartbreaking all at the same time. I love looking back at the things the kids were doing last year, two years ago, etc. But its a daily reminder of how fast they are growing up!
This year:
Big sister got to go to Grady's school for petting zoo day, but first: a donut!!
Grady got the WORST haircut EVER. Unless your name is Lloyd Christmas...

Another "we need to make this an annual event" from October....the Wings and Waves Airshow in Daytona Beach!!
We met some of our favorites, the O Family and the H Family, and ran into cousins and friends! It was PERFECT weather and a great event!
And we have the only kid who falls asleep while jets are breaking the sound barrier nearby!
And that night, Eric and I ran away for a super fast Epcot trip to see Sister Hazel. And we were home in time to get the kids in bed on time! :)
Love these nights.
And we got to meet a new pediatrician for the kids...and loved her! And this is something that we'd never encountered before. A sign of the times:
And the next day, Grady spiked a fever and puked in the car. Glad we met her just in time!
Sometimes it just makes more sense to pick your kindergartener up on your way home from your toddler's second doctor appointment of the day. He needs a nap more than she needs snack and center time. And mommy needs a break and his car seat needs a major cleaning. And car line sounds a little too much like torture today. #HowIsItOnlyTuesday #ewwww
We headed home for snack and homework time while the Dude took one of his very last naps...ever.
And Im super impressed by my Kindergartener!
Grady started saying, "Mommy's crib!" when I would get him up in the mornings. And I couldnt say no.
"Whoa!! Mommy!!! It's COLD out!!!! BRRRRRRR!!! I love it!!!"
It was 65 degrees.

He acts JUST like Bailey did as a puppy, and he looks JUST like Bailey. Its hard not to love him to pieces...even if I want to smack some sense into his head!
Ive been working in Whitney's classroom every Friday, and Im not sure who loves it more!
Whitney taught Grady the art of "silly one first!!"
By 7:15am, the whole team was piled in Mommy and Daddy's "crib"!
Bingo started training classes and was the only "student". He was a model student and the instructor said he's super smart. Who knew?
He learned a few things....
As Room Mom, I was responsible for decorating Whitney's classroom door for Red Ribbon Week. Once again, Pinterest saved the day!
Each spider had a photo and the kids' names. Everyone loved it!

I was looking through Whitney's Awana book to help with her weekly verses, and I came across this gem:

Grady got a job at a computer company and got right to work.
Or it just looked like it.
This kid started talking a lot more and cracked us up...
and we enjoyed the HOT October weather!
Bingo decided he would sleep in Whitney's room while she's at school each day.
Whitney and I went rollerskating tried rollerskating with Emma and Faith at a fundraiser for their brothers' baseball team!
She may look cute...and like she's ready for fun. But she was a HOT MESS.
Whitney picks up on things really quickly. So when something isnt immediately easy for her, or if she isnt the BEST one in the bunch, she sorta melts into a puddle of tears and drama and screaming fits has a hard time working through it.
But once she got the "baby skates" on, she was happy to be doing laps with her besties! And surprisingly didnt even care that NO ONE else in the rink had baby skates.
Love these girls!
Homework gets progressively more "involved" each month, and our girl is ROCKING Kindergarten!
I got to help with her class Halloween party and their field trip. LOVE being Room Mom!
She was happy to go see a play ("Click, Clack, Boo"), but she was SUPER excited to ride on a real school bus!
While Daddy took this cutie on a train ride!
And this mama is a life saver! She's one of the moms who told us how awesome this elementary school is, and she was right! So grateful for her input and honesty and sense of humor!
And then it was time for the Halloween-ing to begin!
Eric and I carved pumpkins while the kids kept asking "is it time yet???"
Success!!!
And Bingo showed Grady how awesome his Olaf costume was gonna look!

He was AWESOME as Olaf!
And even practiced "Happy Halloween!" and "Trick or Treat!" and said, "Please" and "Thank you!" at each house!
And of course we had to attempt the annual neighbor photo!
It was another GREAT Halloween! Whitney changed into her light-up, singing Elsa dress to pass out candy after she'd collected her own goodies!
And this mutt did REALLY well for his first Halloween! He didnt rush the door or bark at the doorbell! He's learning :)
And to start off November (and the REAL holiday season), Eric and Whitney got up at O'Dark Thirty to go run her first 5k! She was super excited!!
And now that Ive knocked out TWO entire months in one night, I will work on November and the first half of December tomorrow....or hopefully before Christmas!
