Gotta write these down before I forget....
*"LOOK OUT!! CAR COMING!!" - shouted from backseat as we drive down the road last night
*"A'mon (c'mon) Tinkabelle. Turn da wheeel. Turn da wheel. Get pwincesses. A'mon. A'mon Tinkabelle. Ok. Cindawehwuh's turn." - while trying to coax her Tinkerbelle toy to drive her Little People pink school bus with all the princesses on board. Apparently Tink didnt take driving lessons.
* "Dramps (Gramps) is usin' da gawf cwubs. He not hee-yuh." (Gramps is using the golf clubs. He's not here." - while Mac babysat and Gramps was golfing.
* "Min-kin Pooo-blick." (Dominican Republic) - Whenever we ask her where we are going next month.
* "Mommy, sit wight hee-yuh. Wight heeeee-yuh. Nest to Whittey." - said while pointing to the floor next to her pink chair. I dropped everything to sit "right there" next to her.
* "AAAAA - WIC!!!!" (ERIC!!) shouted across the house when "DADDY!" apparently wasnt getting the necessary response.
Whitney is 22 months today. She is speaking in full sentences, usually paragraphs, and has an amazing imagination. She is very perceptive and seems to understand people's feelings and really empathize when someone is hurt or upset. Our favorite thing she says is "Soooo much!" whenever we say "I love you.." She goes to the church nursery without any tears or anxiety, and often says "dont cry, right back!" when we tell her "We are going to church!" She still likes her gym classes and really enjoys playdates with Jake (GAKE!) and Natalia (Taa-yuh!) and their mommies.
She is still fiercely attached to bear blanket, but often invites other toys to spend the night in her crib with her. She will always be a Mickey and Minnie lover, but the princesses are quickly becoming a major part of our day. Cinderella is a favorite, but Belle and Snow White are VERY close.
She is still an awesome listener, and RARELY needs a "time out". Knock on wood.
She will eat almost anything, except pasta, but loves lima beans, oranges, broccoli, goldfish, and now granola bars.
Whitney loves to play with her golf clubs from her Uncle Jake and Aunt Christina (pics soon!) and really enjoys going to the parks now that the weather is warming up.
I painted her toes for the first time this morning, and she sat like a statue. Perfectly still. I am continually amazed every night when she stands still on her little pink stool in the bathroom while I blowdry her hair. She would stand there for an hour if that's how long it took. So patient, even when she's tired and ready for bed.
Whitney is growing into a little lady (even says "'scuuue me" when she burps or toots!) and loves to give hugs and kisses. She is quick to say "Bwessh you, Mommy." if I sneeze, and always says "pweas" and "taints you" at the appropriate times, often without reminder.
We are loving EVERY second with our little girl and cant imagine life without our Whitterbug! It truly just keeps getting better and better!
We are headed to the park right now, but I promise to try to get back with some more pics from last week's adventures when we get home!
