We started the month with the "play-at-home" version of a Princess breakfast. Whitney absolutely LOVES the princess toys she got the last time we were at Disney. I am constantly on the lookout for a dropped "Tinkerbelle" or missing "Belle" as we walk through stores. Whitney LOVED sharing her waffles with her princess friends. :)
And while Whitney doesnt seem to enjoy the Tinkerbelle movies yet, she surely knows that wings mean she can fly! So Tinkerbelle does a lot of "flying" lately :)
All the Princesses at breakfast :)
Last week we had FIVE toddlers (2 years or under) and 4 mommies at our house for a playdate. :) While it was, at times, very chaotic, it was agreed that the kids had a lot of fun together, and the mommies definitely love the time to chat and catch up :)
Erin and Natalia, Megan and Jake, and Summer with Cortland and Conrad all joined us. And of course, Bailey was never far away...
And amidst all the chaos, Whitney happily took time to fall into Miss Erin's arms for a giant hug :) Melts my heart when my little girl loves the mommies I love :)
And these three peas in a pod tent continue to make us all laugh and smile as they grow their friendships and learn how to be friends :)
Whitney and Natalia wasted no time putting Jake to work cleaning and vaccuuming their tent :) He will surely make a great hubby some day!
As the little boys grew tired and the sleepy princesses showed signs of fatigue, Erin and I were able to get to work on her first masterpiece! Erin was an awesome student and her internal perfectionist shined through nicely, as her final product was amaaazing :)
How cute is that?!
And of course I had to make the Whitterbug some cute V-Day shirts :)
Megan, Erin, and I have easily and naturally fallen into this great weekly playdate pattern that the kids really enjoy and that really helps us mommies feel connected to other stay-at-home mommies. I was stunned to learn that Megan has lived in our area for years and never been to the Magic Kingdom! What?! So it was was immediately on my to-do list to get Jake and his mommy to the Happiest Place on Earth ASAP! Last Thursday was the big day!
We had a lot of fun people watching, walking through the park, having lunch, meeting Mickey and Minnie and the Princesses, and enjoying the parade. Really couldnt have asked for three better-behaved toddlers! Jake and Natalia are two and Whitney is still only 21 months (no, i will NOT admit that she is two until she is ACTUALLY two). So I think we all safely anticipated some minor meltdowns or tantrum-type-ish behaviors as we approached the day. We have surely been blessed with three of the most amazing toddlers on the planet because they never complained (i mean, outside the normal toddler-i-want-a-bite-of-what-YOURE-eating-instead-of-what-I'M-eating kinda way). They made the day sooo enjoyable and we all look forward to another Disney date soon. :)
Natalia and Whitney were blowing kisses and waving to the characters in the parade :)
And since the park wasnt that crowded, I tried to re-enact the first pic we ever took of Whitney at the Magic Kingdom :)
Minnie and Mickey meet the happiest kiddos in the park:
Can you imagine having a mid-week playdate at Disney World!?!? We are soooo blessed!
Some royalty lovin'
And some parade watchin'
We had sooo much fun! We are thinking about heading to Hollywood Studios next week so Jake can see some Cars action....he puts up with all the princess hype, he deserves a day to bask in the manliness of cars and trucks :)
The weather might just be teasing us, as I dont think this warm weather is here to stay, but we tried to get out an enjoy the 70 degree sunny weather!
Whitney LOVES her "bike"! She hasnt mastered (or even tried) the whole "turn-the-wheel" concept yet, but she sure has fun driving straight!!
Mac and Gramps have lots of acorns in their front yard, and they are always willing and excited to help Whitney collect as many as she possibly can. :)
Yesterday, I was having Whitney model her birthday outfit (again..she is NOT two YET...we are JUST practicing). She was happily twirling around and yelling "Minnie TUTU!!!" Daddy called to say he was on his way home, so we headed to the dront door to greet him.
Whitney was excitedly following Bailey on his never-ending lizard hunt when she saw Daddy's car pull up to the house....
She could hardly contain all the excitement in her little body!!
And there was no stopping her as she SPRINTED to the driveway to greet the best Daddy on the planet :)
Im not sure who is happiest when Daddy gets home every day :)
Come back tomorrow for LOTS of pics from our day at Disney with a Princess lunch and Whitney's "official" birthday outfit and some more time with her favorite mouse!
