It's a BOY!!

Baby Bass #2 is now officially GRADY JAMES BASS :)

He is continuing to grow and develop perfectly according to schedule.  We got to see the four chambers of his heart and two hemispheres of his brain (amazing), and all of his limbs and organs measure appropriately for his gestational age.  He weighs approximately 6 ounces, which is a little ahead of the game, but his Mommy's frequent sugar/candy craving is likely to blame there. (Im workin' on it. But Starburst are sooooo gooooood!)

Whitney is thrilled to have a baby brother on the way! Im sure she wouldve been happy either way, but she loves to tell people her baby brother is a boy :)
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. you ask her "What are you going to name your baby brother?", she replies, "FELIX!!" with a laugh and a smile.  My childhood cat was named Felix and my parents call a black cat from Whitney's doll house "Felix". Apparently, it stuck, as Whitney thinks its an awesome name and cant wait to tell people about Felix Bass.

The best part? My dad watched Whitney while my mom and I went to buy Grady his first clothes yesterday.  My dad said he asked Whitney "What is your baby brother's name going to be?" and she slyly replied, "I TELL people his name is going to be Felix....but its really going to be Grady."  That little......@&*#!  She KNOWS she is driving us crazy being silly and answering with the wrong name...and she's doing it on purpose! TOo funny!

Another Whitney funny: At dinner each night, Whitney has gotten into the nice habit of asking Eric "How was work today, Daddy?"  The other night, she asked Eric and he said "Work was great! I got to hand out candy to my employees today!" Whitney happily replied, "Wow, Dad! Dat's AWESOME!!" with perfect teenager inflection :) She never asked why he had candy, if she could have any, or if her pregnant mother could have some....she just thought it was totally awesome that her dad gave out candy at work.  I wonder where she thinks he works?!

I promise to return with plenty of pictures of BOTH of our kids ;)

Thank you soooooooooo much for the amazing emails, texts, phone calls, and FB mssages re: Grady's health and my pregnancy.  You all really rock my world. :) xoxo
