The birthday boy, 10/10/12
Yesterday Whitney asked me "Mommy, are we going to Bailey's birthday party now?" She's all about the party :)
Bailey has been such an awesome dog through the years! He has rolled with the flow as I moved from apartment to apartment then back in with my parents and eventually into two different houses with Eric. he welcomed our baby girl with open paws in 2009, and though he cant see Grady as well as he'd like, I am sure he is looking forward to the occasional dropped morsel from the hairchair in the weeks and months ahead.
He still sleeps in our bed at night and comes when he's called. He doesnt mind being shaved and while his lizard chasing days are behind him, he still puts forth a great effort if someone is willing to play catch with a toy or ball. He sheds like crazy, but doesnt mind his fresh-shaved look throughout the Spring and Summer.
He has never touched one of the kids' toys and never snapped at a child. We love when he "talks" to us, and gives "high five". He still barks at Belle and Gus, the dogs next door, despite having lived next to them for six years. He lives for treats and butt rubs and really is the best dog ever.
