Great Update!! :)

So we met with our agency today, and our social worker could not make me any happier!! She is awesome!
She said that we "Really open a lot of doors and shorten the wait" by NOT picking a specific gender. She said most adoptive couples want to choose the gender, so it limits the pool. But our profile can be shown to anyone since we dont mind if we get a boy or a girl. Eric was so cute. He said "If we were lucky enough to conceive on our own, we would not get to choose the gender of our child, so why should this be different? Lets let God pick the perfect baby for us, boy or girl." SOOO cute

Next steps:
*Florida Dept of Law Enforcement STILL hasnt sent in our background checks, but I was assured today that they will be sent out tomorrow.
*Our profiles arrived from picaboo, and look GREAT! They accidentally sent us 18 instead of 6! They processed our order 3 times, but only charged us once. So...we have plenty of extras!!
*They are passing our profile around the office to see if they catch any identifying content or pictures. Once those are approved, they will call us (by Friday) and we will bring the remaining 17 in!
*Home Study case worker, Edna, will be calling us to set up our home visits. She should call within 2 weeks, and usually sets appointments 2 weeks out. So, our home visits and interviews should be done by the end of August.
*Once FDLE background check is in, profiles are approved, and home study is done, our profiles will be given to birthmoms who match our criteria. If one of them likes us, we will do lunch or dinner with her and 2 social workers. If we all agree that its a good fit, then we will officially be MATCHED, and we can celebrate!! Then we will know gender and due date!! We are STUPID EXCITED!! I cant stop smiling!!!!!!

When we left the office tonight, our social worker said "get ready guys...it could happen really fast! at any minute i could be calling to tell you that you are parents!" The hair on my arms stood up straight and I got butterflies!!
By the end of the month, we will be "Paper Pregnant"!
