Picture Catch Up

Lately I've been peeking back through the blog to see what life was like just one year ago. Remember these two cuties?!
Well they are two big cuties now!

I am repeatedly blown away by how big Grady has gotten in the last 12 months. Those itty bitty days seem like years ago already!

And as their friendship grows and the belly laughs get louder, the days just get better and better.

Their ages each pose their own challenges (4 yrs old- ready to read, but already knows everyyyyything, therefore can not learn how to read.....at least not when mommy is teaching! And 1 yr old- will. Not. Speak. Can communicate enough to avoid tantrums and maintain his basic needs. But wow. It gets lonely for this mama who talks to herself alllllll day loooong). But each age offers its own kind of fun and experiences that keep us on our toes and laughing 😃 most days.

My brother just sent them shirts from his vacation to Nantucket! How cute are they?! I'm a sucker for sibling matchy matchy 😃

After waiting all summer in hopes of seeing a hint of curl in his hair, it was finally time to admit that Grady has pin-straight hair and get it trimmed.

Eric had curly hair. I have curly hair. Both our dads have great hair. And while Grady has an awesome color, there is still no sign of curl in the near future.
I loooove the color 😃 and seriously, he couldn't be any cuter really.

"I'm not tired, Mommy, but how about if I get in my jammies? And lay in my bed? But I'm not tired."

Warning: extreme cuteness ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two weekends ago, Eric and I "ran" the Miracle Miles 15k in Orlando. I use the word "ran" verrrrry lightly.

We finished but it wasn't pretty. Eric could've crushed it but he stayed by my side as I learned a few valuable lessons. Ie, running outside is way harder than running on the treadmill. And one who has a Disney half marathon in 36 days should probably get her butt outside to run verrrry soon.

Last week, Whitney's school celebrated Pirate Day!

Grady's valentines shirt still fit him so I only had to make a shirt for Whitney.

Everyyyyyy day when we drop Whitney off at school, Grady darts past her teachers and bee lines for the play area in her classroom. He loves the kitchen and tool bench!

Arrrrrgh!!

That afternoon, though it wasn't October yet, I finally caved in and said, "yes!" when Whitney asked me, for the 23742 time, if we could decorate for Halloween yet.
She was soooooo excited!!
Proud of her pumpkin placements 😃

And Grady woke up excited to see Halloween Mickey and Minnie ready for hugs!

Grady really likes gym class each week. He is always asking us to "wake up the floor!" (Banging/drumming hands on the floor loudly). He roped Uncle Eddie into some floor waking last weekend!

Last Saturday we spent the day at Eric's Aunt Patti's house with several if his Aunts and Uncles, cousins, and his grandparents. Grady fell asleep in the car on the way there and was a snuggle waking up 😃

And it's always so great to see our kids play with their cousins. Whitney and Gemma had a blast!

All three girls are growing up so fast!

And speaking of growing up fast.....whoa.

This dude doesn't like to share chocolate. Ever.

And when the craziness of a hectic week can take over, I catch moments like this and nothing else matters.

I would take this same picture everyday if I could. Loooove watching them hold hands and walk into school together.

Grady has few words right now, but he is constantly taking our hands and making us point to things and name them. He loves books more than any other toy right now, and he's always pointing to knew pictures or words and asking us what it is. One day, hopefully SOON, he is going to wake up talking in paragraphs.

While his vocabulary isn't very extensive right now, he is definitely able to communicate his needs and wants very effectively. Yesterday after a sample if pumpkin frozen yogurt.
"More!"

"Please!!"

And seriously, the world would be a happier place if we all got to end our days with these kinda giggles! She's soooooo happy!

I've said it before, but I really mean it. I'm the luckiest girl you know.
