Tall Ships and Cousins and Laundry Baskets

This weekend had the BEST weather! 70s-low 80s and blue skies for miles! We decided to take a road trip up the coast with a few special stops along the way!
First we headed to a visit with replicas of the Nina and the Pinta that were visiting the harbor near where we usually stay at the beach.

Coming over this bridge, the view NEVER gets old. LOVE the beach!

The ships weren't as exciting as I remembered them to be, but it was such a beautiful day that we were able to enjoy watching the boats go past :)

And this girl......

She has the best memory EVER.  As we drove along, Whitney was well aware of all the landmarks and was excited to tell us when she spotted our "CondoBeach"! She was so disappointed when we told her that we wouldn't be going back to that condo this year.  We told her that we were trying to find another condo for us to stay, and sure enough....within minutes of our conversation and trying to reassure Whitney the Beach Girl that she would indeed get her beach vacation, my parents called and said they had booked us all a condo at an AMAZING resort just north of where we usually stay! We are SOOOO excited!

So as we left the inlet harbor, we were headed north to St. Augustine to see Eric's sister and brother and their families and to enjoy some cousin time.  Since the resort my parents booked is on the way to St. Aug, we decided to make a pit stop and check it out.  I am SO glad we did!  The resort looks beautiful, and we got to sneak a peek of the beach!

She LOVES the beach more than anyone I know!  I don't LOVE sand, and I don't love trucking all the paraphernalia involved in a beach day with a toddler and preschooler.  But I absolutely LOOOVE watching Whitney enjoy and soak up the beach time!

We only stayed for about 10 minutes, but it was just enough for her to get her beach fix and get SUPER excited for July!
Grady is not thrilled with the ocean (it was COLD!), but he liked the sand a lot!

And it was almost magical for Whitney when a horse appeared on the beach out of nowhere!
SOOO excited! THANK YOU, Mac and Gramps!

Edited to add camera pics:

From there, we headed for a quick stop at the outlets for some shoes, and then on to St. Augustine where we were supposed to meet a few brothers and Eric's sister.  Dawson got sick and couldn't make it to dinner, but we got to see Daniel, Crystal, Kyle, Dean, Lynzie, Corbyn, Cai, and Callie!

Belly laughs the whole time!

Bassilleri Crew!
A sure sign of a great day!
These kids were SOOOOO well behaved! ALL day. We have truly been blessed with some of the most well behaved, HAPPY kids on the planet, and we are so grateful! They both just go with the flow 95% of the time, and it makes it so enjoyable and (dare I say) easy to get out and do fun stuff as a family! Love them!

Today we went to church and then did our routine Sunday stuff.  Laundry, vacuuming, cleaning, and grocery shopping and napping (for Grady!) and working out and dinner.
Grady saw my salad and pointed, saying, "Leaf!"
I gave him a piece of my spinach and he looooved it.

"MORE!"

And both kids laugh SO hard when Whitney pops up from behind his high chair at the dinner table :)

This started calmly.....

Which escalated to this...

And this.....

Which lead to this.....

And of course, this:

I love our life.
