It's my birthday weekend!!! And next week is our 9th anniversary! So let the celebrations begin!
Every year my parents treat us to dinner at their club for my birthday! It's the yummiest steak and we always have a great meal. Thanks mom and dad! Cheers, Mama!
It's my birthday weekend so they couldn't object when I asked for another picture :)
This girl was ALL smiles! My parents' friend "Mr. Wally" stopped by our table to say hi. When he spotted Whitney, he whipped out a pen and small pad of paper, walked to Whitney with wide eyes and a big smile, and said, "May I please have your autograph? Surely you must be a princess! And I've always wanted a princess' autograph!" She was glowing and giggling as she wrote out her whole name and the word "princess" :) He made her month!
It's really too bad these kids get no affection or attention!
My birthday weekend continues with some Disney vacation countdown making this morning:
Whitney made it almost entirely on her own! She cut all the strips of paper by herself. Then she wrote all the numbers on each strip. We looped them together and she stapled them. And she helped me decorate the sign with stickers. She was so excited!
Grady "helped" by eating a new gluten free, dairy free cookie we recently discovered. Yum!!
And our fun morning was followed up by a great afternoon outside! And I type this now from that sunny spot on the right side of the picture, as Grady naps and Whitney swims in our ice cold pool!
74 degrees. Her lips are purple.
and tonight, a grown up sushi dinner with some of our favorite friends!
Edited to add:
And then a yummy sushi dinner with some of our favorites!!
The guys refused to pose for a pic.
Eric got our pool deck pressure washed and we tackled the pool toy clean-out and prepared the porch for the many pool days ahead!
Sunday evening, we all spent time on the porch enjoying the gorgeous weather and all the fun toys they have missed all winter :)
