Some Weekend Pics, 12 Month Stats, and a cute Video

We had another fun weekend with great family and amazing friends! While my camera goes with me everywhere, I forgot to take it out of the diaper bag at our nephew's 7th birthday party on Sunday, on Saturday in the pool and with friends, and when we visited Mac and Gramps yesterday. :( I wish I had remembered at Dean's party since Whitney had the chance to hang out with a cousin her age who she doesnt get to see often, and they were pretty cute together. But there's always another birthday party around the corner, so I'll take extra pics next time :)
On Friday we had some of our besties over for some grilling and pool time. Faith and Whitney enjoyed a play date all afternoon while Faith's big bro, Austin, got to go to the movies with his Dad. The girls had so much fun. I grabbed the camera when they were sharing the car...but forgot to grab it when they took ALLLLL the fake moss out of the giant fake tree in our dining room. ALLL of it. They each took a 2 hour nap after that :)

They played and played and played...

and played some more!

The kids LOVED the bubble blower...best $10 at Walmart EVERR.

Austine stopped chasing bubbles long enough for a smooch from Mommy:

And we enjoyed great times with some of the friends we've had the longest. (I didnt want to say "our oldest friends" because that implies they are old...and they're not...yet!) See?

The girls enjoyed some time in Whitney's car and I was happy to get a pic in her chair just like this pic I took in March.

On Saturday we loved some extended pool time and had more besties over for food and fun. We have lots of friends...and even lots of "best" friends....but its sometimes hard to find friends who have the same parenting style/theories/ideas as we do. Christine and I are VERY alike in our Mommying, and Matt and Eric are the same kinda dad. From vaccines to school/education to routines to food choices to discipline and manners, we are right there with each other and its nice to know I dont have to explain why Whitney doesnt get vaccines or why we give her organic milk or why I let her watch TV or why I think its important to encourage kids to share EARLY. The kids get along GREAT and are interacting and sharing with one another more and more every time we get together. :)
In fact, they were having such a great time together, and we were all enjoying ourselves so much that I, once again, forgot to take the camera out. Bummer... :( Thankfully, we see them often enough that Im sure we'll have fun pics in the near future :)
On Sunday we went to celebrate Dean's 7th birthday. SEVENTH!? Dean was 4 months old when I met Eric. And now he's SEVEN!? We are going to take him to Disney by himself for the day soon and I dont know who is more excited...us or him!?

Whitney had her 12 month doctor appointment this morning. She is in the 90th percentile for height and the 75th percentile for weight. She is already doing things and meeting the 18 month milestones, and truly impressed her doctor with her "vocabulary" and her ball throwing and kicking abilities :) We are so proud and could jsut brag and brag and brag about this little girl :)
I took this video at the end of Whitney's lunch today. She is 12 months, 1 week, and 5 days old.

She knows a chicken says "bock, bock, bock" and surprised us at dinner the other night when we asked her "do you want more chicken?"...she'll usually say "more" or "no"...but this time she said "bock, bock, bock" :) Too cute :)
And this was today:

And last July when she sat in her high chair for the first time:
