Today, I had the pleasure of spending time with another Mommy with whom I share SOOO much in common. Her name is Whitney, and I just adore her and her daughter Karlyn! We've talked about our shared experiences in the past, but this was the first time we've spent time together, and we had the BEST day! We spent this very HOTTT day at Animal Kingdom with our two princesses who behaved beautifully and made the day so special! I'll post pics (i only took a few...im slackin'!) another time, but after talking with Whitney today and realizing how much we have each endured to finally hear "Mommy!" (or in my case, "mamamama"), I thought I'd post one of my favorite songs that reminds me to be grateful and appreciative of every single second I have with our little girl. And I know "the other" Whitney ("grown-up Whitney") totally understands the feeling :)
Hope all the Mommies reading are excited for a relaxing, enjoyable Mother's Day weekend! And all the mommies-to-be, just know that some of the people saying "It will happen...when the time is right...it WILL happen" really, truly know that it WILL happen because it has happened to us. And we arent just saying it to brush you off or make your feelings seem less-important.. Take it from me, after years of waiting and wondering and hoping and praying. It DOES happen. And it WILL happen. God has it all figured out.

That was beautiful. Thank you for being so open with your feelings. It truly shows others how amazing life really is. I want you to know that I have followed your story since Just moms and because of that I have decided to go into social working with adoptions. I feel so passionate about it because of the way you describe everything. You really love that little girl and it shows in every word I read. Thank you again, you are a wonderful, wonderful mom. Enjoy your mother's day, you honestly deserve it so much.

Sniffling and snorting at my computer - awesome! Hah! And what an amazing comment by Kaley! It has been incredible to see/hear what you have overcome since those Johnstone-A days. Your stories remind me to be more grateful about what I do have in my life. Happy Mother's Day "Pretty" :o)
P.S. So mad that we're not making it to Orlando this summer .. grrr!
