Aahhhh....life is getting in the way of bloggin' again :)
Here are some pics for you stalkers...
| Whitney is realllly into these little Disney figurines. She calls them her "guys", and she has the set for Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Snow White, Tinker Bell and friends, and now Toy Story. She loooves these guys, and often falls asleep clutching one in each hand :) This day, she was determined to take them on a parade :) |
| Whitney and I recently met some friends and fam at Epcot and ducked in to meet TinkerBell really quickly. Whitney was completely enamoured with Tink, who nicely offered her a piece of bark when Whitney gave her a flower she has picked while we waited in line. |
| This is one of my favorite recent pics of Whitney. Yes, its a potty pic, but its just sooo "her". She was singing and twirling this sword around, and insisted on wearing her princess ears. I HAD to grab the camera :) |
| We had a shower for my Sister-in-Law, Christina and her baby boy, Sawyer. Yes, this was last month, but Im just getting around to sharing pics. It was a fun day and we cant wait to meet Baby Sawyer this Fall! |
| Some of the sisters-in-law got tattoos recently :) Mine is the bass... |
| Gee, I wonder how Bailey ended up with a lei around his neck.....? |
| Whitney and I have made "Just Add Water" muffins several times lately. Its quick and easy, and a fun way to involve Whitney in the kitchen. She loves to pour the water, stir the mix in the bowl, and help put the muffin cups into the muffin tin. She does not enjoy waiting for them to come out of the oven. |
| LOVE these girls :) We havent had a Faith and Whitney playdate yet this month, but Whitney is continually asking "Mommy...I see Faith? Faith come pway?" These two have quite a special bond for two years old! |
| We recently went to our friend Emiley's 7th birthday. We have known Emiley and her parents since Emiley was 18 months old, so it was fun to see our little girl interact with Emiley and all of Emiley's cousins. |
| LOVE them :) |
| Whitney was watching the "Buzz, Buzz" episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She was pretending to fly "wike a bumboo-bee, Mommy!" I remembered that I had grabbed some dress-up stuff at an after-halloween sale, and Whitney was THRILLED to see some bumble bee attire in the box! |
| My parents took us to dinner at their club right before July 4th. I love that Whitney is well-behaved enough to bring to nice dinners. |
| Eric's dad threw a huge 4th of July bash at his house this year. He had a huge water slide and tons of food and friends and family. We were able to spend some time with family, and it doesnt get much better than that! |
| Uncle Joe took Whitney on her first ride down the water slide. She looooved it and wouldve stayed in all day! |
| We loove and appreciate being so close with family. Even though Lynzie is two hours away and Devin and Nick are in Georgia, family is so important to them that they make the extra effort to be at most family events. I know its not fun to pack up and drive (espceially with little kids!), but we soooo appreciate the time we get to spend with them! |
| The 4th of July was Nick's very first day as a civilian again. He has been in the Army, stationed in Italy and Afghanistan, and we are thrilled for him to be home safely in Devin's arms :) |
| After a nap, Whitney got to go to her Mac and Gramps' house for some dinner and some fireworks. We love living close enough to see both sides of the family in one day :) (Note the red toenails :) LOOOVE!) |
| Mac and Gramps both commented about how cute Whitney was while we watched fireworks on their back porch. She would shout, "Daddy!! Daddy, I hear purple!! I hear it! I hear GWEEN, too, Daddy!" We tried explaining that she SEES purple and green, but it was cuter when she said it her way. She is just such a happy kid, and we love seeing things through her eyes and the FUN things she says. |
| A few days later, my dad's cousin and his wife came to visit from Ohio. We were treated to a YUMMY dinner at Disney's California Grill. Its our favorite local restaurant...has great food, is on the top of the Contemporary Resort, and overlooks the Magic Kingdom. We told Whitney we would bring her to ride the teacups if she behaved at dinner. Of course, she was an angel, and we had to make good on our promise! |
| We got into the park late...way past Whitney's bedtime....but that didnt stop us from high-tailing back to Fantasy Land for some carousel and teacups! |
| He is the BEST Daddy! |
| We werent there very long and I wanted to make sure we got a pic of the three of us on our mad dash around the park. We dont get many family pics lately, and this one isnt great, but I want to always remember treating our princess to a run through the park after she was such a good girl all day :) |
| The next day, Whitney and I got to go to a local Irish restaurant with my parents, cousins, and GG. I assure you, Whitney had shoes on except for the 2 seconds we snapped pictures. |
| These pics got all out of order and I cant figure out how to rearrange them....but here is Whitney loving her new book from Mac. Mac recorded herself reading the Princess book. Love Hallmark's recordable books! |
| Eric and I got a date night while Whitney had her first sleepover at Mac and Gramps. We slept in until 9:30am and couldnt wait to get back to my parents' house to pick her up :) |
Whitney has realllllly been into books lately. She would rather read books than watch TV or a movie, and yesterday she said "I dont want to swim, Mommy. Wet's weed books, kay?" :)
And some cell phone pics, because Im good like that:
We spent the afternoon at Epcot with my parents last weekend. Whitney tried on a sombrero in Mexico :)
I had a first semi-successful attempt at a french braid in Whitney's hair. I have been french braiding my own hair since high school, and Ive tried Whitney's a few times, but she stood still long enough for me to get a decent braid completed. We'll keep trying :)
On Monday, Whitney and I joined her boyfriend, "Connuh" (Connor) at the Magic Kingdom for some pics with Jessie and Woody! It was quite possibly the HOTTEST day in the parks, and there were a gazillion people there! But, these two troopers waited in line like champs and were thrilled to meet their favorites!
New favorite pic from my phone :) |
