He went to bed like normal but I watched him toss and turn for a while on the monitor. When he say up and said, "Mama?" in the teensiest, sweetest kettle question voice, I had to go hold him some more. I walked in his room and he didn't hear me. So when I leaned into his crib and put my hand on his back, he say up, smiled so big I could see it in the dark, reached for me, and said sweetly, "Mama!" I cried. I'm do blessed to be this guy's mama.
I held him for a while, tried to lay him back down and he reached up and said, "more", so I snapped a few pics because I'm always convinced this will be the last snuggles I get from this dude as he is getting to be so big kid and less baby.
And we sat in his chair in his quiet room and I thanked God for the blessing of being a Mama to these amazing kids.
