This little girl is SOOOO excited!!
She got her ears pierced!!!!
She has asked to get her ears pierced a few times in recent months, but never begged or really pleaded so we werent sure if she reallllllly, realllllly wanted it done, or if she just saw her friends at school get their ears pierced and figured she should get in on the action. But we asked her last weekend if she wanted to go get them pierced and she jumped at the chance!
We got to the store and there was a pair of sisters, one seven years old and the other just three years old, already waiting in the chair. The first (older) sister was a nervous wreck, practically shaking in the chair. Whitney watched as this big girl finally got her ears done, and this poor big kid cried like someone ripped her finger nails out. Whitney was unfazed. Then, it was the three year old sister's turn. That little spitfire hopped in the chair her sister had just left in tears, and sat all proud and brave. She was NOT going to cry, her father assured us. SHE was the strong one, he said. SHE would barely budge, the proud papa gloated.
WRONG.
That sweet girl was totally fine...until she wasnt. As soon as those cute pink earrings struck through her tiny lobes, that little darling screamed, "THAT!!!! HURT!!!!!" and lost her darn mind.
I thought for SURE Whitney would bail. I sorta WANTED her to bail! But nope. She kept saying she was SURE she wanted to do it. She was positive. Even if Mommy wasnt.
BEFORE:
So how did she do??.......
AFTER!!!
Doesnt she look six years old!?!? She was a CHAMP! She has never whimpered or complained once and she loves to pull her hair back, thrust her neck out, and show EVERYONE her new earrings :)
And she will be able to change them out just in time for our Disney days this Spring!
