Our best friends' daughter, Faith, turned TWO on Friday! What more magical way to celebrate a birthday princess than going to the Happiest Place on Earth?!!? We all went to the Magic Kingdom, and couldnt have had a better day! The forecast said "80% chance of rain" the night before, but that wasnt gonna stop us from having fun! It actually worked out perfectly since the other locals stayed away from the parks, and the WDW guests seemed to shy away from the park with the threat of rain. We didnt wait longer than 10 minutes for any ride, and we had a great spot inside Casey's Corner when the rain came at lunchtime. It rained for an hour while we ate lunch and watched cartoons (and Whitney napped!), and then we were right back at it! Such a great day!

Whitney was "helping" Daddy shoot the targets on the Buzz Lightyear ride! She would spin the car around and around as Daddy was trying to get a high score :)
We only waited 10 minutes to meet Buzz Lightyear, and that was the longest line of the day!

Austin is the Birthday Girl's older brother....and he ROCKS! He was SOOOO well-behaved ALLLL day! Not one complaint, even when he didnt find a toy he wanted. Just such an awesome reminder that there ARE still well-behaved, well-mannered little boys in the world today :) We love that kid :)
We rode the teacups twice :) Whitney LOOOVED it!
And the best part of the whole day: meeting some of the Disney Princesses with our little girl! Lately, Buzz and Woody have taken a backseat to Cinderella and Belle and Snow White (LOVE!). Whitney repeatedly asks to watch "Cinda-weh-wuh!" and "Bellllle!", so we were very lucky to get to meet them in person at Disney. I was THRILLED that Eric got to be there for this event, too. We both couldnt stop smiling from ear to ear as our little princess met her idols and gave them hugs and sat in their laps. SOooooooo priceless! Eric did an awesome job snapping pics!
Belle was her favorite. :) I was so excited when Belle told Whitney "You and I look alike, so we should pretend to be sisters and read lots of books together!" and Whitney responded, "YEAH!!" Sooo cute. And I was proud when Belle asked "Princess Whitney, how old are you?" and Whitney proudly answered, "ONE!" Sooo fun!

And although Whitney doesnt know who Sleeping Beauty is, she must've just figured "Eh...she sure LOOKS like a princess, so I might as well meet her, too...". She happily sat with Aurora and forgot allllll about the recent stranger anxiety drama :)
And right after the Princess meet n greet, we were all lucky enough to walk right in to see Mickey and Minnie! Eric was amazed, as we usually wait 30 minutes or more to meet the Main Mouse and his girlfriend, but that threat of rain helped us out, and we walked right into the room where the celebs were waiting for us :)
We tackled more of the Magic Kingdom than we've ever achieved in one day. We did: Buzz Lightyear, Stitch's show, the teacups (twice!), the rollercoaster in Toon Town, Snow White's Scary Ride, the carousel (twice!), Dumbo, Peter Pan, Its a Small World, Haunted Mansion, Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and we met with Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Buzz, and Stitch. AMAZING day!
Whitney crashed right in time to sit down for lunch and get out of the oncoming rain. She slept for almost 2 hours and woke up ready to ride the rides and enjoy the day with her bestie!

We stuck around through the chilly air to see the new fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. It was worth it! They color the castle and show pics from throughout the day ON the castle. ITs really cool and fun to watch for your pic! We thought for SURE Whitney and Faith wouldve made the slideshow on the Castle, but no luck this time :)
Overall, it was likely the best day we've had at the Magic Kingdom, and we couldnt have been happier to spend it with some of our favorite people on the planet!
