On Saturday afternoon, Devin and her bestie, Charlotte arrived from Georgia just in time to see Whitney's big girl bed, witness a potty success, play cheerleaders for said potty success, and watch Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue. Whitney was THRILLED to have the audience and attention :)
(Poor girl...we wouldnt allow Whitney to play dress-up while still learning about the potty. Thankfully, she agreed that it would be sad if she accidentally got her Tinkerbell or Snow White dresses wet, but was satisfied with wearing her Tinkerbell shoes as a substitute.)
Christine, Charlotte, Devin, and I headed out to see Taylor Swift that night. It was my birthday present from Eric, and I while I was thrilled to get out for the night, I felt bad leaving Daddy on potty-duty with our little princess. She pretty much had it down by that point, and she didnt give him any problems, but I still felt bad. Daddy was nice enough to send pics throughout the night :)

We had awesome seats, just off the floor, 18 rows up, staring straight at the stage. And at one point, Taylor Swift comes to the back of the floor and sings a few songs right in front of our section.
Yeah, I think she was looking for us in the crowd :) (In reality, Ms. Swift is likely staring in our direction because we stood out amongst a sea of girls, 5-18 years old, dressed in cowgirl boots and short skirts, and singing along LOUDLY. Christine and I didnt have a giant light-up sign professing our love for Taylor, nor did we know all the words to the songs from her new album....but we had FUN :)
Yesterday, we had our first successful outing without diapers. Woohoo! We went to Toys R Us to grab a travel potty seat that is AWESOME! We got it in pink, naturally, but this seat ROCKS for any kid! It fits directly in a toilet seat and sits wide enough that Whitney's hands, legs, and bottom didnt touch the toilet at ALL. (Thank GAWD, because Don Pablo's is NOT known for their clean potties. Phew!)
I highly recommend this seat since it fits in our diaper bag with two pairs of extra clothes and really lets me rest assured that Whitney wont be caught without a potty in public. In fact, this lil seat has legs that flip out so you can put a plastic bag/target bag/walmart bag in the center to line it and allow Whitney to potty anywhere (back of the car on road trips?) if needed. I dont plan to use that unless we are REALLY jammed up, but its nice to have just in case.
So because we had successful days on the potty, Whitney was promised her very own Lizzy doll. Lizzy is the little girl in the latest TInkerbell movie, and Whitney is in LOVE with her. She pretends to fly like Lizzy and asks a lot of questions about Lizzy. I have really loved watching Whitney's imagination grow and grow lately!
She nicely lined up her princess friends to watch Tink this morning.
And since the ban on dress up clothes has come to an end, Whitney was thrilled to throw on her Minnie Mouse costume and present story time to her princesses. :)
And after a successful potty morning, Whitney and I headed to Target to pick up her Lizzy. She was SOOOOO excited and proud :) I love that Whitney likes to make us proud, but I REALLY love that she likes to pat herself on the back and take pride in her hard work :)
These two pics (in the carseat and in the bed) were taken less than 15 minutes apart. :)
She is such a sweet angel :) LOVE watching her grow up and learn and get excited about life!
