Halloween 2013

I have never tried to hide the fact that a Halloween isn't really my thing. I decorate the house a little, and love the pumpkins and mums and family pic opportunities. But I really look at Halloween as a way to close out the Summer months (in Florida it's still 85+ degrees!) and bring in the true holiday season.
This year, we opted for easy, store-bought costumes. Thanks to the release of Monsters University, Mike Wazowski and Sully costumes were in abundance. Whitney was thrilled to be a "Roar Omega RoR" cheerleader, (ie a girl Sully) and Grady made the perfect Mike Wazowski!

Whitney got to wear her costume to school and she was soooo excited!
Grady loves Mike "migh!" and was surprisingly content being dressed in the bulky costume.

Keeping with tradition, Eric took Whitney around the neighborhood while Grady and I passed out candy. We stopped by our besties' house to say hi before kicking off the trick or treating!

Seriously? How cute are they!? I hope Whitney is still willing to wear coordinating costumes in the years ahead 😃

I love when he reaches for her hand!

The cutest monsters ever.

Grady was happy to wave to trick-or-treaters from the comfort of his chair while watching Monsters Inc.

And before the last doorbell chime of the night, I had all the Halloween gear packed away. We got this year's thankful turkey on the wall and Whitney decided "Tom" needed a tutu. So "Tom" became "Tutu" for 2013!

She picked her baby brother for the first feather for the second year in a row. Good girl 😃
