The next several posts are from all the Christmas fun we had last month! I FINALLY loaded the pics...but they are in no particular order. Since the whole point of blogging this stuff is so we have a family scrapbook of sorts, I am just going to get these pics up so we can all look back at the fun family time we spent together over the holidays. I wish the pics and posts would be in order, but life is busy...so maybe the pics and posts will be in order in years to come. (But I dont count on it!)
Every year, we have a handful of Christmas celebrations to make happen. Eric's dad's side of the fam, Eric's mom's side of the fam, my parents and brother, and then Eric's mom and stepdad travel to town....so we really celebrate Christmas for weeks, rather than just on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
This year, Eric's dad's side of the family celebrated at our house again! The cousins all have so much fun together, and Im continually remined just how blessed our kids are to have such amazing Uncles and Aunts who are genuinely loving and FUN! Eric's dad and stepmom, Robin did an amazing job raising these kids...and I truly appreciate being a part of such an awesome group!
Gary and Martha got married right after Christmas and we are excited to welcome her to the family! We are crazy and we are fun and we know she fits right in, in the best ways! :)
Whitney wanted to make sure they knew which pic was her in their new "Grandkids" photo :)
A few years ago we stopped going ALL OUT for the nieces and nephews since they get SO many gifts each Christmas and birthday. So instead of toys, we all exchange books for the kids. We really missed having Jake and Christina and Sawyer (and baby Davis #2) with us this year, and at the last minute, Corbyn got really sick, so we also missed Lynzie and Joe and Corbyn and Callie and Cai. We all enjoyed each other's company, but definitely look forward to getting EVERYONE together soon! Make it happen, Peeps! :)
Grady is obsessed with this truck book from his Papa and Miss Martha!
This girl LOVES her Papa something fierce!
And of course Miss Martha cuddles rock :)
And it has happened. My nephew is officially taller than I am. Whoa.
We have the BEST nieces and nephews on the planet. Seriously, it should be no surprise since they are all being raised by some of my favorite people on the planet, but I am continually amazed at how AWESOME these "older" cousin boys are. They love and take care of all their little (five-years-old- and under) cousins and never show any signs of annoyance. They genuinely love these little people who look up to them!
Nice try, Papa :)
Parker and Melanie were here 4 minutes and Grady grabbed them both by the hands and said, "Nu-non!" (C'mon!) and monopolized their time. They totally could have said, "Umm...go ahead, Buddy! We will join you in the playroom later...." and ignored this little dude. But nope. They got right down on the floor and started playing with him. And that's why they rock.
Whitney loves helping make the Reindeer Noses :)
The kids were playing outside, and a ball got stuck in the gutter. Have no fear! Uncle Eric propped Dean up on his shoulders, and all was right with the world again. :)
I love the chaos of holidays. Wrapping paper and laughter and excitement and family. The best.
Missing Christina and Lynzie!
I cant believe this was over a month ago! Its fun to relive it :) We had a great December!
