Christmas Eve, we went to mass at my parents' church with my parents, my brother, and my grandfather.
The iPhones only kept Grady occupied for so long....
When snacks, swapping laps, and technology weren't working to keep him quiet, he and I headed outside;
He was so funny! I'll go into more detail later, but this was just five days without gluten and he was already more active and silly. Another Christmas miracle 😃
We rushed from there, across town, to Eric's cousin's house to spend some time with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Its always fun to see all the little cousins giggling and enjoying time with each other.
Grady got a Grill....
After a fun gift exchange there, we raced home to get the kids in bed. First, we had to be sure to sprinkle the reindeer food Whitney made at school!
Then Eric got to work on the breakfast casserole for the morning while I laid out all the gifts and got the house ready for the morning. Watching "Its a Wonderful Life" while playing "Santa Claus" is one of my favorite traditions each year!
The next morning, Whitney woke first and was SO excited when she spotted the "glorified refrigerator box" she gets to color!
She went right inside, then spotted her stocking sitting on the table in the playroom :)
Priceless:
We let her open her stocking while we waited for Grady to wake up and for Mac, Gramps, and Uncle Jay to arrive.
She waited SOOO patiently while those red gifts just calllllllled for her to rip into the paper and find out what was inside!!!
I love that my parents come over every Christmas morning to share in the excitement! They could very easily and understandably say, "Nah. We will stay in bed. See ya later tonight!", but they come over, laugh and smile with our kids, and make memories. Which is the best gift for all of us!
Remember how Whitney didnt want a Twilight Sparkle anymore? Yeah. Well.....
I think she changed her mind :)
Uncle Jay was welcomed into the playhouse while we waited for Grady to finally wake up!
Grady was really interested in the house, and really got into the stocking stuffers!
Carry on.
Grady didnt want to leave his stocking stuffers long enough to go open the REAL presents, so he carried them all with him :)
She is the BEST big sister. EVER.
Whitney was/is in LOVE with this Frozen wand that plays music. Loves.
Seriously, how much do they look alike?!
I love the chaos of the wrapping paper and shouts of "Mommy! LOOK!!!"
Grady loved his new soccer ball and really loved throwing it over his head to claps and cheers!
He was also a big fan of the books and trucks this year!
Apparently we are starting a band :)
Uncle Jay's turn on the keyboard...
And of course we had to try the annual "in front of the tree" pics....
Well. We tried. lol
But its tradition...
MORE Christmas coming soon!
