Friends, Sillies, and Kindergarten Fun Day

In May, we enjoyed LOTS of time spent with FRIENDS!
A bestie sleepover :)

"Mommy, we dont want to watch a movie to fall asleep tonight.  Can we take turns reading to each other instead?"

Faith is such an awesome friend to Whitney and we always enjoy having her! She is always so polite and the BFF giggles are AMAZING! They get along so well!

Matchy rainbow shoes!

Both kids have been diggin' "Family Movie Night" on the couch in the family room.  A RedBox movie. Some popcorn. And couch cuddles.  The best!
We watch Paddington and really liked it!

Whitney grabbed her book from Uncle Jay's adventures in England :)

This guy, who, in typical three-year-old-boy fashion, will often appear as though he's not paying attention, just blew our minds. He pointed to my Mickey sticker on my cup.
"Mommy, you gotta Mickey stickuh on yo cup!"
"Yep, I put it there yesterday."
"Yep, at Disney you put it on up cup."
"That's right, we got these stickers at Disney the other day didn't we?"
"Yes, at Scar 59."
(.......silence.......)
"Right, Mommy? At Scar 59..."
Realizing what he was talking about, and completely floored.
"You're right! We got these stickers from the parking lot guy when we parked.....in 'Scar 59'...."
Next time we forget where we parked our car at Disney? We know who to ask. 😳🚘

We straightened her hair and she suddenly looked 12.  Stopit.

My last Wednesday morning of "freedom" before school was out for Summer and my quiet mornings with the ball machine came to an end.

What? You dont wear a strainer on your head when eating a popsicle?!

This melts my heart.

During the last week of school, Whitney helped her friend Avery be brave while she got her ears pierced!

So cute :)

And of course the little bros loved the carousel in the mall :)

Caught another generation of flashlight readers :) She has been loving books so much lately and its so awesome to hear her reading fluency really take off!

Couch cuddles.

My favorites!

Eric's checkout-line impulse buy of the month: a headlamp.

She was so excited!

...and so was he.

Wrapping up Kindergarten and the Two-Year-Old Room! Still two "fluff" days next week, but we are all in Summer brain already! Praying that every year is as awesome and fun and smooth as this school year!
Aaaaand I love when they hug

Kindergarten Fun Day (aka "Let's Get as Much Sand on/in Us as We Can! Day"). Popsicles. And mommy whisked her away to Jeremiah's for a treat before getting little bro. Next up: get the Dude. Get in the pool. Then meet daddy at Mac and Gramps' for pizza and swimming. My kinda Friday!

She loves Jeremiah's almost as much as I do :) And I know she loves her brother, but I think she liked having mommy all to herself for a little bit :)

LOVE our big FIRST GRADER!
