I deleted the FB app from my phone and have discovered all this amazing time to backtrack through the photos in my phone to blog the stories and cuteness Ive missed in the recent weeks. Ive tried breaking them up into events/weeks. So let's begin with the beginning of May....when THIS happened!
In an effort to get back in a healthy shape, I was on the hunt for a tennis club or organization to join in our area. It wasnt as easy as Id anticipated, so we were very pleasantly surprised when we learned more about the country club where my parents have been members for 15 years.
With help and encouragement from my parents, (THANK YOU, MAC AND GRAMPS!), Team Bass can now look forward to LOTS of tennis, some golf, a great pool with a water slide, and all kinds of fun, family events!
The kids have been great sports about heading up to the club to hit some balls (or play with trains on the court while Daddy and Mommy play a few sets)!
I cant even tell you how awesome it feels to get back out there and get back into the groove, hitting the tennis ball.
I was able to drop the kids off at school and quickly get to the tennis court to battle the ball machine for an hour or so before I had to turn around and pick Grady up from school. It felt great!
And we've reserved courts most weekends and headed to the club after dinner many nights! The kids have been troopers, and who knew that Eric was a great tennis player!?
And my parents have met us up at the raquet club to watch the kids swim while Eric and I hit. Then we all hung out under one of the new cabanas poolside while the kids swam and went down the water slide. A great Summer lies ahead!

I love when high school and college friends bring their families to Disney! We got to meet up with a Clemson roommate and bestie for dinner last month. Always fun to see Liz and her family!
The kids made garden stones for Mac and Gramps' flower bed by their putting green. Unfortunately, upon reading the fine print, we learned that these "garden stepping stones" are not meant to be used outdoors. ??!!? So they live on Mac's porch now.
Whitney's morning message was about me 😃
Bingo was "helping" Whitney with her homework. She had to mix up numbers and then place them in numerical order. Bingo was moral support.
Whitney had been begging for a sleepover at Mac and Gramps' house and they were excited to have her! So while she had them all to herself, we took Grady to spend a Cheesecake Factory gift card. He was a champ and the meal was delish!
And the silliness never stops with this one....
The next day was Mother's Day!
We had planned to do steaks and potatoes and all the fixins, but mom and I agreed that simple is better, so we opted for burgers and potato salad and easy stuff. Eric grilled and the kids were excited to have Mac and Gramps at our house!
Mom and I tried to take a nice Weezie...
...and Bingo wanted to get involved...
.....and our laughs....
....were contagious, so Whitney wanted to know what the laughs were all about :)
Eric is the BEST grillmaster around, and did an awesome job making another Mother's Day special and amazing!
After my parents left to watch the Cavs game, I got to put my feet up and float around the pool :)
The kids had a blast and swimmed their hearts out...
....until they crashed.
And the mutt with endless energy was still ready to play.
The. Best.
And while I loooove my sleep, it was hard to resist when this little guy called from his crib, "Mommy! I wanna sleep in yo bed!" in the middle of the night.
That is one of the perks of motherhood :)
