Follicle Check, 2/22/08

My appointment this morning was....interesting. :) I have a pretty good "relationship" with the nurse who takes my blood every time. She is nice, funny, always smiling, and wants me to get pregnant BAD. I heart her. I told her a while ago that I think the nurses who do the u/s should introduce themselves when they enter the room. Afterall, they are about to stick a giant probe in ya, they could at LEAST gimme their NAME! We have laughed about it, and she agreed and said she would give the feedback to the docs/staff.

So yet another nurse comes in today. No introduction. No hand shake. No identification. And she brings a sidekick with her. I had a bad attitude about it at first, just annoyed that they NEVER introduce themselves. But this chick was FUNNY. She checked my follies and measured them and explained everything and gave her honest 2 cents and was just relaxing. She didn't make up answers if she didn't know. She didn't try to push my questions aside like I was nobody or just a number. She was great. :)

My ovary has decided to kick into gear. Almost too much. I am waiting to hear from my nurse (she is late calling AGAIN) but this cycle might be canceled. I went from ZERO response all the way to RIDICULOUS response. I have 6 or 7 follies that are 13-17 (i think) and 1 that is 10. She said our risk of higher order multiples is "too high", but the doc would probably let us decide what to do. I told her that I usually have empty follicles, so some of the follies probably dont hold any eggs at all. She sorta shrugged and said "hey, ifyou are cool with 5 babies, who am i to say no!" :)

So we are waiting to hear if my estrogen level is where it should be (no higher than 400).

Hoping things move forward and I can trigger tonight and IUI on Sunday so I dont miss any work next week.
