The Main Event

Ok, well, maybe its only the FIRST Main Event of many "Main Events" to come. But no matter what we call it, "dinner", "lunch", "THE meeting", "the FIRST meeting", etc, the fact is, we are EXCITED!! We have both agreed that we are surprisingly NOT nervous, so thanks for those prayers! They worked! :) "Nervous" isnt really the right word. I kinda feel like I am getting ready to go on vacation, but I just have to get through the packing, the one-last-day at work, and the driving to the ariport. Ya know that excitement you feel then? Like you have soooo much fun to look forward to, but you dont really know WHAT is going to happen? We just cant wait to see how it all goes, and I want to memorize every second of it for the rest of my life!
I dont have any expectations...they could be really open and honest and clear. They could be vague and quiet and shy. They could be friendly and fun to talk with. They could be reserved and hard to read. We have no idea. I definitely have some "in my dream world, this is what I hope will happen" thoughts. :) Like, I hope she has a big 'ol belly that she offers to let me feel if the baby kicks while we're there. :) I hope we give each other hugs when we meet, or at least when we leave. I hope we laugh a lot, despite the tension that might appear. I hope they like us. I hope they like the gifts we are bringing, and the thought behind each one. I hope they say something to set our minds at ease for the next 64 days. I hope we say something to set THEIR minds at ease for the years to come. I hope we leave with few questions unanswered, and many things to look forward to. I hope we take pictures together so Whitney can see us all smiling togther someday.
But again....that's my dream world....if none of those things happen, I am okay. I am just excited to take one more step forward in the process. I am taking this all one Main Event at a time. :)
