Weekend Update

This could rank up there in my top 5 favorite weekends of all time :) It was relaxing and fun, we got to see family and friends, we laughed a lot and took tons of pictures :)
Eric decided to take the afternoon off work on Friday, so he was home around 1pm, just in time to head to the park to meet Mac and Gramps for some swings and RUNNING in the fields!!
We played lots of "Im-Gonna-Get-YOU!" and "Come catch Mommy!!" And Whitney was briefly the "monkey in the middle" :)

Whats this Gramps? Grass, huh? Its sorta itchy.

Hey...who's that over there...THAT'S my DADDY!!! I better go get him!

Im gonna get you, Daddy!!!!!!

Oh, look! Big kids on the playground!

HI BIG KIDS!!!

Hmmmm...what should I conquer next???

After the park, we headed out to a nice dinner with some great friends and neighbors, and their kids. All three kids were ANGELS at dinner :) Then we went home, threw on some jammies, and headed over to their house for drinks and laughs. A wonderful way to start the weekend!
We just couldnt get enough park time or time with Susana, Tom, and the kids, so we headed back to the park on Saturday. Whitney couldnt wait to tackle the big kid stuff...

Bells had the right idea, chillin' in Whitney's cool car while Whitney was off climbing mountains.

First big bro, Ike, decided to give Bells some driving lessons...

then her daddy took over...look out!

Bells decided to sit back, relax, and have a lil drink while everyone else insisted on feeding the birds...smart chick! (Although we will have to have a chat with her about the dangers of drinking and driving!)

All that playing is hard work! And we still had MORE FUN ahead!!

After the park, we headed out to see Whitney's Papa and Grandma (Eric's Dad and Stepmom). We decided to swing by the airport to see the skydivers coming in from a jump. Its not something I'd ever do, but it is fun to watch them all float back to earth after leaping out of a plane. Im always impressed when they land on their feet :)


We werent the only ones who thought it was cool....

This guy thought it was pretty amazing, too...

Whitney got some great one-on-one time with her Grandma Robin on Sunday evening. I love that Whitney has grandparents who all live in the same state. I didnt get to grow up near my family, so I LOOOVE that Whitney is going to grow up knowing her cousins and her aunts and uncles.

We were very excited to spend time with Eric's sister and our nephew Corbyn, and we cant WAIT to spend more time with them at Disney this weekend!

Whitney was happy to share her time with her Grandma and ALLLLL Of Grandma's cool toys! Corbyn showed Whitney how to use the "hair dryer" :)

She was so wiped out from such a FUN day, she crashed in our bed with her favorite big bro :)

On Sunday, while grocery shopping at Wally, Whitney saw some young girls with big bouncy balls. She couldnt stop staring at them, so we headed to the toy section where Whitney was offered a Princess ball...no....a Baby Einstein ball?....no thanks. How bout a Dora ball?? no way Jose. As soon as Eric showed her the Big Red ball, she squealed and fell madly in love.
Whitney loved when Mommy and Daddy bounced Big Red Ball in the aisles, but Whitney did NOT like when Mommy handed Big Red Ball to the cashier at checkout...ooooh noooo...Big Red Ball was firmly in Whitney's grasp the rest of the night....even when she was half asleep on Mommy's shoulder.

Big Red Ball could NOT be put aside for the ride home...Big Red Ball had earned such a huge place in Whitney's heart, that Big Red Ball got to ride shotgun with her.

Big Red Ball even went on a walk around the block with us Sunday evening...

After Whitney woke up from her nap (I drew the line at BRB joining her in the crib), we asked her "Where's your big red ball?" and she LIT UP like a Christmas tree!
Another great weekend for the record books :)
