OK, so Friday was a low-key night spent at home, but we had a good reason :) We knew we had a long day planned for Saturday, and wanted to make sure we were well rested. Saturday was my parents' birthday. Yep, they share a birthday :) What better place to celebrate a birthday than at the happiest place on earth, with the happiest little girl in the world?!
So to celebrate their birthday, we went to the character breakfast at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Ohana has YUMMY food served family-style, and I highly recommend this breakfast for anyone visiting Disney.
While we ate Mickey-shaped waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, sausage, biscuits, and delicious passion-guava juice, we were visited by Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch!
Whitney had never seen Lilo or Stitch before, and I was certain she would panic at the sight of the little alien creature, but she LOVED him (her?..it?)!!

So, she loved the alien thing, but she wasnt too sure about Lilo...a little girl? I think she was trying to imitate her chubby cheeks :)
She has a new-found LOOOVE for Pluto, too! She let him kiss her and she enjoyed tugging on his rubbery whiskers :)
And of course, Mickey Mouse is her all-time favorite! She started squealing and shouting when she saw him visiting another family a few tables away, and she wouldnt turn around and eat her breakfast once she spotted him! She kept waving to him and laughing and smiling from ear to ear! She got hugs and kisses and high-fives from The Mouse, and we all LOVED every second watching her reactions.
The characters started a parade through the whole restaurant, and all the kids got to join in with maracas :) They all paraded right passed our table, and Whitney could NOT stop smiling! We all had such a great time celebrating Mac and Gramps' birthday!!
After breakfast, we all headed to Animal Kingdom where we met up with some of my parents' friends and watched the Lion King show. SOOO good!
After that, Eric, Whitney, and I went to EPCOT for a few beers (ok, so Whitney had water) at the UK, our favorite people-watching spot :) Whitney loved walking around and go up and down the sidewalk over and over and over and over and overrrr.
She was sound asleep by the time we walked to the monorail to head home :)
Such a great day!
Saturday night, Eric stayed home with the Whitterbug and I headed to Carlos and Charlies for drinks with some girlfriends :) It was so fun to unwind and laugh with friends, knowing that Whitney was in wonderful hands at home :) Does it get better??
Overall, a great weekend of celebrating and enjoying family and friends!

You just posted another thing that our girls have in common. Not only was Whitney born the same day as Amara 4 years later but she walked for her first time on the same day too. Must be something very special about April 21.
Love looking at all the pics. I am just so happy for you all.
