Easter 2013

This month is BANANAS!
Im still trying to post about Easter and Grady's first haircut, and then I have to get focused on all things BIRTHDAY since all those shenanigans start THIS week!
So, without further ado.....

Holidays around here just keep getting better and better year after year.  Whitney is at such a fun age to dye eggs and talk about the meaning of the holiday.  She loved dyeing the eggs!

And did a really great job!

This dude was just along for the ride, ready to derail the nice, neat egg production Whitney had going on :)

My mom got the kids these bunny headbands....I have to admit....I love this kinda stuff :)

Any excuse to get these two dolled up and in a picture together :)

I have to give all the credit to Pinterest, but I think we've added a fun new tradition to our Easter celebrations!
Whitney was excited about planting jelly beans and couldnt wait to get to bed to see what popped up after the Easter Bunny's visit!

Our poor blind Bailey wants to be involved in all the fun.

The next morning, again thanks to Pinterest, Whitney walked right past her Easter basket, past her pinterest-inspired breakfast, and wanted to head out the front door to see what grew from her jelly bean "seeds"!

She was SO excited!

"They grew into LOLLIPOPS!!!!"

So. much. fun!

And we told Whitney that the Easter Bunny was responsible for the jelly bean lollipop tricks and hiding some eggs around our house, but Mommy and Daddy are the ones who bring the Easter baskets filled with goodies :)

Again....the pinterest....cheetos in an icing/bakery baggie and a green ribbon....ta da....a carrot!

She finally got her own copy of Peter Pan, her current favorite :)

We attempted a few kid pics before heading out the door to church, but that didnt go as planned :)

So after church and some naps, we tried again at my parents' house before Easter dinner.  Success!

LOVE spending holidays with family and watching my kids and parents interact and laugh and have fun together!

And Grady got his first golf lesson from Daddy :)

FOUR!

And what holiday would be complete without some minor home improvements/repairs/ladder usage?!

Now.....we move on to my FAVORITE week of the year!
Let the BIRTHDAY festivities BEGIN!
