Sooo...Summer (BFF) and I have been spending the better part of the afternoon cleaning out her pantry, drinking wine, and talking/chatting/bitchin' (babies, girlfriends, celebs, tv shows, family members, pizza, and coworkers have all been fair game today). The PRIME topic has been 90210...well, let me clarify...we STARTED out watching the 4pm news to make sure the "tropical storm" wasnt gonna slam us (background noise)...when all was clear, we really dug into the wine and realized that 90210 was coming on as 5pm. LOVE the Soapnet!!
After various distruptions (numerous pee brakes (both human and kanine), phone calls, emails, work-related-adult-type-stuff, doggy outings, husbandly phone calls, etc), we are finally sitting on her couch watching THE pilot for Beverly Hills, 90210. Yes, folks...the very same show that entertained us when we were 13 is, in fact, entertaining us now. Between the 2 of us, I am quite certain we can recall EVERY SINGLE episode of the famed show. Did you know that Dylan McKay was not in the first 2 episodes of the famous west coast saga??? yeah, me neither.
So here we sit, with our husbands making us "make-at-home" pizza, 2 bottles of wine down, and one husband a lil more concerned than the other(not mine, folks!)....awaiting TROPICAL STORM FAY. Guess what...she ain't happenin'! At least not in these parts...we moved all of our outdoor furniture, purchased the requisite bottled water, bottled wine, extra grill-able food, non-perishables, etc....guess what? NOTHING HAPPENING HERE. (sad actually, because a LOT of local schools cancelled today and tomorrow for NO reason; and people will NOT take things seriously the next time the hype comes around...sad.)
In happier news (and you deserve happier news if you have read thus far):
WE ARE PICKING UP OUR CRIB TONIGHT!!!!!!! We both just polished off our 2nd pieces of pizza, (yumm-o...eric ROCKS the pizza-making skills)and are on our way to pick 'er up! I'll be back with the much-anticipated pictures! :)
In the mean time, stay tuned for a fantastic video that Eric and I both LOVE....it kinda sounds like a song our baby might be singin' on his/her way to us..(cuz, ya know..WE have been waiting for HIM/HER for a long time, but HE/SHE might have been waiting for us for just as much time!!) stay tuned...soon, i will figure out how to post youtube videos...
