Best. Weekend. EVERR!

Friday night was low-key...spent at home watching "A Bug's Life" and relaxing. As much as we love being ont he go and doing things all the time, it is nice to have a night to just chill at home, just us every now and then :)

Saturday we went to a special 3 year old's birthday party. It was sooo fun getting a glimpse of what Whitney might be like in 3 years. The Birthday Girl was SOOO excited opening her gifts and listening to everyone sing to her. We LOOOVE Whitney so much and dont want to see her grow up too fast, but it is definitely exciting to think about all the funny things she'll say and do, and all the joy she'll bring to our lives as a little girl. :)
Saturday night we had some of our besties over to watch my Clemson Tigers BEAT Eric's Florida State Seminoles. :) YEAH!!!!!! We look forward to this match-up every year, and I am proud to say that my Tigers regularly beat those silly seminoles. :) Whitney was all dressed up and ready for the game:



Sunday afternoon we decided to take advantage of the Disney Annual Passes my parents bought us for Christmas. Whitney's Mac and Gramps (who may be known as "Groovy" in the future :)) got annual passes, too, so we can all head down to the parks whenever we want. There is some on-going debate over babies going to Disney. I have heard a lot of people question why people would bring an infant to the parks when "they are too young to 'get it'" and "they dont understand it". Ummm...its free for her to get in and after yesterday's adventure, we plan to be regulars in the parks. Whitney LOOOOOVED every second there! She was smiley and happy and excited at all the right times! She met Mickey and Minnie and was mesmerized! She giggled and loved them! (OK, if you cant stand cheesy bragging, then you might want to stop reading now)...because my kid ROCKED!! We lost track of how many people said "Ohh, she's sooo cute!" and "Look how HAPPY she is!" and "Oh my goodness, she is adorable!" The best part though? After waiting 30 minutes to meet Mickey and Minnie, not knowing if she would freak out or cry when she finally saw them, Whitney lit up like a CHristmas tree and could not have been happier! We waited in a long line before we were lead back to the small room with about 20 other people. Mickey and Minnie were in there taking pics with other families. When it was Whitney's turn, the WHOLE room "ooooh"d and "aaaaawwww'd" at how cute she was. :) Minnie liked her bow, of course. A HUGE THANK YOU to HOLLY!! The entire experience, from beginning to end, could not have been better.
We thought we hit a bump in the happiness when, less than 2 minutes before the 3pm parade passed in front of us, Whitney dropped the biggest diaper EVER. :( We rushed and changed her right in her stroller away from as many people as possible. She laughed. We laughed (when it was all done). (Arent you glad I shared that lil tidbit? I'm sure she'll be thrilled to read that someday. :))
Clean bottom taken care of, we settled in at the curb to watch the parade go by. SO MUCH FUN! She smiled and kicked as the characters walked and danced by us. She definitely liked the Mickey and Minnie float the best, staring it down long after it had rounded the corner.
I understand the whole "she's too young to enjoy it" theory, but this trip just did not fit that concept. She LOVED it.
We're heading to Hollywood Studios next week so she can check out the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, and Handy Manny shows :)
































She couldnt wait to call her Mac and her Gramps to tell them "THANK YOU! WE LOVE YOU!!"
