Whitney is 7 Months Old! (+ 1 day)

So this is a day late, but close enough. :)

Stats:
Weight: (estimating) 20 lbs
Height: (estimating) no idea!
Diaper Size: 3 (but 2/3's fit, too)
Clothes size: some 3 month onesies still, mostly 6, 9, and even 12 month clothes, depending on the brand. (same as last month)and we've added some 18 month PJs to the wardrobe :)

Our Daily Schedule:
Whitney's routine hasnt changed much at all. Her new crawling skills make our days more active and more entertaining for us both :) She is still waking around 7:30am, taking her first nap around 10am for 2 hours, taking a 2nd nap aroun 2:30pm, for about an hour, and then going to sleep around 7:45pm each night. We have added daily walks into the routine now that the weather is beautiful and not too hot or too cold.

Activity:
Whitney is officially crawling EVERYWHERE and starting to pull up on chairs, her crib, her toy box, and anything else she thinks is sturdy enough to hold her chunky body :) This is such a fun stage! Whitney is more verbal than she was last month, too. She uses all kinds of sounds and screams and "songs" to talk to us :)

Sleeping/Napping:
I spoke too soon. The middle-of-the-night bottles are back in effect. I am blaming the two teeth she has popped in the last month as well as some traveling and busy weeks, combined with a growth spurt. It could be all of those things, one of those things, or none of those things. Most nights I enjoy getting up with her and rocking her to sleep again with her bottle....there is the occasional night that wears me out, but I try to remember that she wont be this little forever, and I am being given more opportunities to snuggle her while she's still teeny-ish. :) She naps great, and can fall asleep anywhere. A 15 minute power nap re-energized her at Disney last weekend, and we were able to enjoy more time at the parks. :)

Eating:
Whitney's pediatrician wanted her to consistently get baby food. So she now gets a 6os bottle at 8am, 12pm, and 4pm, then she gets a fruit and a veggie, and an 8oz bottle at 7:30pm. There really arent any foods Whitney refuses to eat, but she struggles through peas. She loves green beans and squash! The fruits dont seem to impress her much and she would obviously prefer more green beans over the applesauce or bananas. :) So far she has had: green beans, peas, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, mixed veggies, applesauce, apple banana strawberry, blueberry pear granola, mango dessert, tropical fruit dessert, bananas, pears, peaches, and today she will try apple cherry. :)

Personality:
I know I bragged about this earlier this month, but Whitney gets compliments on her demeanor everywhere we go :) She is so easy and laid-back still. The whole crawling thing has started an "i-want-to-get-down-and-explore-NOW" itch in her lil body, but she is happily and easily distracted with toys or songs or (her favorite) a mirror!
Whitney cracks herself up and likes to chuckle under her breath when she is playing alone. I guess that is one thing that surprised me and Eric. Whitney can play alone for a loooong time without needing us to entertain her or keep her occupied. She loves her basket of blocks and balls and miscellaneous toys in her playroom, and could sit in front of it for an hour just going through it and tossing toys around. She still likes her jumper and her exersaucer. She especially likes to exersauce outside with me and Bailey :) Whitney is still not a crier, although she did perfect the whine out of frustration while she was learning to crawl. Whitney now waves "hi" and "bye bye" consistently and it is soooo cute :) She likes to watch her hand as her fingers move up and down, and then smiles with pride when she gets the reaction she is looking for, an "awwww" from whomever she is waving at. :) Whitney loves to cuddle and be held and she will let pretty much anyone hold her. She lights up when she sees familiar faces (Mac, Gramps, Great Gramps, Papa, Me, Daddy, Mickey :)) and she smiles at anyone else who smiles at her first :) I am wondering if stranger anxiety will kick in soon, but for now she is all smiles and we LOOOVE it. :)
