Whitney is in the 50th percentile for height, and 75th percentile for weight. Grady is our string bean at 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height. Both kids are "perfect in every way!" according to their doctor :)
And absolutely adorable and hysterical, if I do say so myself :)
Whitney doesn't need to be seen again until her fifth birthday, but is less-than-thrilled to know she will be back in June for a vaccine booster. And Grady will be back in August for his 15 month appointment.
The kids were both soooooo good and even laughed with me as the three of us tried to get a urine sample from Whitney. Grady tried to cooperate while I held the cup in place and Whitney "really really really" didn't have to pee....."really". But he wanted to touch the blue toilet water, inspect the trash can, open the door where the urine cup would be placed once Whitney's bladder decided to get on board, and even tried to make a run for it when he realized he could work the door handle. Thankfully we were all laughing hard enough that Whitney peed :)
And since they were so well behaved, and because taking two kids anywhere makes me feel like mother of the year, we headed to the Zoo splash pad that is less than five minutes from our house.
Both kids, again, were super well-behaved and we all had so much fun!
And because we had such a great time yesterday, we headed back to the zoo this morning, and this time, Mac joined in the fun!
After sime splash pad fun and a surprisingly yummy lunch, we walked the zoo for a bit. The otters were great! This guy kept doing laps and giving Whitney "high five" as he kicked off the glass. We could've stood there and watched them wrestle and kiss and play all day!
We ended the morning fun with a train ride :)
And a crash landing back at home for Mr. Grady
And as if that wasn't enough fun, Whitney and I enjoyed some girl time with our favorite friends and neighbors, Julie and Emma!
Yeah remember how I said Whitney is afraid of the pool and refusing to swim? Yeah. All it took was for Emma to take a giant leap into the pool. Whitney was less than one minute behind her fearless friend. Whitter is happily swimming laps again with the help of her floaty, and many thanks to some old YouTube videos I showed her and her good friend Emma.
It's gonna be a great Summer!!
