So we live less than an hour from this:
And my parents rented a beach condo for the next few weeks! So we loaded up the car and are spending the next few days soaking up the sun, the holiday fun, time with family, and the beach!
Whitney could hardly contain her excitement, as she hopped right into the chilly ocean and felt right at home! I've taken some great pics on our point-and-shoot but wanted to get these cell phone pics loaded ASAP.
Grady is learning to live the beach. He likes it. But doesn't love it yet.
Thankfully there is no shortage of arms waiting to hold him out if the cold ocean :)
We headed back to the condo where Grady quickly crashed for his first sleep in a pack n play, surely dreaming if pirates booty and lost treasures!
(edited to add real camera pics)
After a yummy dinner, mom and I entertained ourselves and our husbands with some Pinterest funnies :) .....-and a visit from a "palmetto bug". Ahhhhh!
And after a few hours of rest (14 hours for Grady!), we were up and at 'em to celebrate out Nation's birth!
Eric and the kids cooperated long enough for me to get my favorite pics snapped, and the grandparents spent hours wrangling our beach babes.
Now, as I type this from my phone in a lounge chair with an adult beverage, our girl is on bathing suit #2 in the pool swimming on her own with Gramps. Grady is snoozing again. And I get to see my husband relax and enjoy a vacation from work.
Life is good!
And God bless America!
