Two is Better than None...and it Only Takes One....

I FINALLY got news from the doc. Our four "beauties" are now two "good" embryos. Two of our "beauties" didnt fertilize overnight, and they "died". FORTUNATELY, the other two DID fertilize on their own (good boys!) and they didnt have to inject them or manipulate them in any way.
The nurse said the doc and embryologist suggest that we transfer them to my uterus TOMORROW instead of Thursday. She said they want to put them into their "natural environment" a day earlier since we know that these are the two we would be transfering on Thursday. I asked her if they wanted to transfer them a day early because they werent sure they would make it to Thursday, and she said that isnt the case. I said I did not want to go ahead with a transfer if the embryos didnt look good enough and she said "the two you are left with look good, as far as I know"....very reassuring, huh? So, we go in tomorrow morning at 7am for a transfer. I am hoping they both make it overnight and that they can both be transfered.
Two is better than NONE, that's for sure. And we all know that it only takes ONE. So, I am trying my best to get excited for our two "babies" and get over the "loss" of the other two. Say it with me..."Quality, not quantity"...."it only takes one"....repeat.... :)
So, tomorrow I go in at 7am, they insert our babies, we pray a LOT, and lay there for 15 minutes with a fulllllll bladder (ouch) and then I come home and enjoy bed rest for three days. EMail me, call me, visit me....dont let me think too much!
My blood test is on Monday, November 19th at 8am. I MIGHT take a home test before then...if I am brave enough :) Otherwise, we will know "officially" around 3pm on the 19th :)

GOOD LUCK! GOOD LUCK!! GOOD LUCK!!! I know that Injectibles/IUI is MUCH different than IVF, but do you remember my disappointment when I only produced one "measly" follicle with 21 days of injectibles? My measly follicle is my beautiful daughter. You have two GOOD embies!! That is GREAT. So, I will continue to think about and pray for YOU!! HUGS
