Nothing new to report...still counting down the days. 47 til her due date :) Anyone have any insight re: how frequent her doc appts shoudl be now? She was 33 weeks on Tuesday.
Her next ultrasound is Wednesday, March 11th (next week). So, she will be 34 weeks, 1 day at that point. What will they be looking for? Anything special?
I plan to google the answers to all these questions to find any and all possibilities :) From what I hear, c-sections are usualllly scheduled for one week before the actual due date. Sound right to you guys?
Nothing else new to report....Eric is still traveling, and we are both ready for him to be home for GOOD! He stops traveling 3/20, and we both took Monday, 3/23 off to celebrate (and its my 30th birthday :))....a nice loooong weekend to be "just us" before Whitney gets here. We cant wait!
Like I said...nothing new or exciting to report, but wanted everyone's thoughts on the doc appt frequency, and the ultrasound purpose.....(and yes, T has already agreed to send pics to the agency for us to keep :))

Glad to hear things are going well. From the limited experience I have with pregnancy stuff (i.e. watching my sister go through it,) I would say the due date things sounds fairly on target. I'm not sure about the other stuff...
I'm very excited for you and can't wait to hear more updates! Good for you on having some alone time before baby, that's very smart!

One week prior the due is about right typically. They were going to schedule mine with Kaylee and the twins at 37wks though. But I had other issues determining that. As you know longer baking is good, exept for a mommy to be's excited level! hahahaha
Appts LOL Never made it past 35wks! I was going every two weeks though prior to preterm labor at 32.5wks. I'm guessing here soon she'll start going once a week!
U/S purpose, just to measure the baby and check amnio fluid, this will probably be her last u/s! The pics should be neat!
OMG Kat your so close to every dream coming true! Your life is going to be filled with such love and completness. You will truely know the meaning of love once you hold that lil girl and call her your daughter! Its just amazing,more then I ever ever dreamed personally! I'm so happy for you! HUGS
Thanks for the small update. I think, if I remember correctly, I started going every two weeks at 30 weeks. When I got to 36 weeks then I was going once a week. I was having a U/S and NSTs weekly at that point too, but the U/S's were just to check the fluids etc. I only had the one U/S earlier in my pregnancy where we got pictures and a good look at our little guy.
YAY, just a few more weeks until Eric is home again. What perfect timing right before your birthday and before your baby dreams come true.
I am 30 weeks and started going every 2 weeks at 28 weeks. I will start going every week at 37 weeks. My doctor doesn't do late u/s because a lot of insurance companies don't cover them. As far as the c/section, I have no idea since I have never experienced it, but that sounds about right to me. I can't believe she will be here so soon!
Both of mine were scheduled are/were scheduled at 39 weeks to the day. I went into labor on my own before that with the middle baby.. And her two week appointments should be starting this appointment, although every doctor does it different, The u/s I would guess is for growth, to see how big she is, how things are going in there, if shes transverse, breech, or what not.. Hope you are able to share pictures of the u/s. I cant believe the due date is so close now!!
Normal "rule of thumb" is every other week until 36 weeks, then every week. Of course every doctor is different. Same goes for the C. . .and depends on why she is having the C.
Hope the waiting gets a bit easier.
Right now the appointments should be about once every two weeks or so.
Once she reaches 36 weeks, she will go weekly until birth.
Depending on the reason for the c-section they will schedule between 1-2 weeks before her due date. Naturally it would be much better to section later rather than sooner. Especially if this is an elective c-section.
As far as the ultrasound goes, I have no idea what they are looking for. Some docs are just plain ultrasound happy! I doubt that they are looking for anything in particular.

1 week early for a C is generally the norm.
