Whitney and her big cousin Corbyn (he's 9 months older) are both Toy Story lovers. Woody and Whitney are destined to be together, while Corbyn is more of a Buzz fanatic, but both kids LIT UP and rejoiced when we turned their favorite movie on after dinner.
Whitney was a really good "sharer"! She wanted to show her baby cousin Callie her favorite Woody doll.
When Corbyn woke up from his nap, he was still a little groggy and unsure about alllllll the people in the house. Whitney showed him her Woody doll, and he perked right up! Like he was saying "NOW yall are talkin' my language!! Let's talk Toy Story!!"

Corbyn ran to the bedroom and grabbed his two Buzz dolls right away! Whitney was soooo excited to see Buzz, and THRILLED when her cool cousin SHARED Buzz with her!
They sat on the floor like this for a WHILE, trading Buzz and Woody back and forth. Corbyn is such a big kid now :(...its fun to think that Whitney could be talking as much in the next several months!
"See, Whitney? This is where you press Buzz's button to make him talk and shoot laser beams....they arent REAL laser beams...don't worry."
Whitney and Corbyn better look out! Before they know it, Callie will be movin' in on there territory! Maybe she will be a Jessie lover to keep things safe :)
Dont Whitney and Callie sorta resemble each other? Everyone comments on it, and it just makes me soo happy to think God figured all that out :)

(Almost) the WHOOOOLE family. Daniel, Crystal, Kyle, Dean, Lynzie, Joe, Corbyn, Callie, Dawson, Jake (missing Christina who works retail and couldnt get off work in Texas :( ), Papa/Gary/Dad, me, Whitney, Eric, Melanie, and Parker.

Im fairly certain this picture is PRICELESS. Family is soooo important throughout our lives, but especially at this time of year and after the last few months we've had. I love, love, LOVE that Whitney is getting the chance to grow up with cousins in her life. They may not see each other every weekend or even every single month, but they are bound to be good friends through the years. They are so close in age and heck, they already share a love of Toy Story and Disney! I didnt get to grow up around my cousins, but I always loved the BIG family gatherings and the chaos that goes along with sooo many loved ones in one place at one time when we visited family out of town. I love that it will be easier for Whitney to have those experiences, and I hope she will enjoy the memories and magic these times create. Big family isnt always easy, and there are even times when it is downright HARD...but its times like this last weekend that REALLY make me look forward to the NEXT fun family gathering with great anticipation and excitement, and appreciate the fact that we wont have to drive 10 hours to the nearest family member! Thankfully, the next events start in just a few short weeks! :)
