Brief Update:

*gave blood work on Monday (again). Saw doc. Funny convo:
"Hi doc.."
"Here to give more blood, huh?"
"Yeah, this time we are sending it to Chicago."
"Good...the natural killer cells results came back in normal ranges, so we can rule that out. This LAD test is sort of controversial. There was a man, Dr. Beers, who created and developed this test. He is really the only one who can accurately read the results....he died a few years ago, and there is sone controversy surrounding the reading of results. We had three patients here who had results showing positive for LAD. While I had them waiting for treatment in London, they got pregnant..."
"So...if they actually had LAD, they couldnt have stayed pregnant and carried to term, right"
"exactly...so, i have a good guy who has success in reading the results, so we'll see what he comes up with for you"
(Eric)"so, why are we doing this test if we arent going to trust the results?"
(Doc) "Because your wife wanted it! And, if it comes back positive, we can look at a few other option and outside treatment..and we can stop doing IUIs since they wont be successful until the LAD is taken care of"
(me)"I just want something to blame this on!!"
(doc)"I know EXACTLY what to blame this on! Your stupid ovary! It gives us good eggs when she wants to, but its awfully temperamental!"
..he went on to say that he thinks IUIs will work for us, .... again.. :)

*my 29th birthday was Easter Sunday
*didnt get a phone call from my parents ... no "happy birthday", no "happy easter". nice, right?
*our 3rd anniversary is today....still no phone call from parents. awesome.
*my cousins are coming into town tonight!! Going to see their show (they are MEESE www.myspace.com/meese) at Hard Rock Live tomorrow night. Eric, Melissa, Mike, and Summer coming with for the festivities. Show is sold out!! :) So proud of them. Will post pics.
*Eric in midst of loooong interview process for Site Leader/Operations Manager position at work. Had phone interview last week, face-to-face interview yesterday, one phone interview today at noon, and has three more phone interviews today and tomorrow. They SAY they want to make an offer by Friday, but they said that same thing 2 fridays ago!
*He is up against 2 qualified candidates from another division. He feels like he would be a great choice for the role, but can also see the other two candidates being highly desirable, too. So...we'll see! I am so proud of his hard work and dedication...I hope it pays off!
*I am still waiting to hear from Legacy Academy. I interviewed with them last Friday and loved the position. "Miss C" was supposed to interview me, but had to put out a fire elsewhere, so she had "Miss M" interview me instead. When I asked Miss C if she would like to reschedule, and I could come back, she said "Oh, you'll be back, i am sure of it! Go ahead and chat with Miss M and I will talk with you soon!" So...it made me feel like she looked through my resume and liked me enough to know that, as long as my references check out, she would hire me. No word yet though. I called on Monday and Miss C was gone sick for the day. I called today, and Miss M answered the phone and said they were in the middle of a parent conference and they would call me back. Looking forward to hearing something SOON!
*subbed at Academy of Learning on Monday and LOVED it. Every minute of it! I had 13 four-year-olds, and we had a blast! Some of them read better than my 2nd graders! Lots and lots of funny stories and silliness, and I KNOW that I am meant to be in a classroom again. In one day with them, I feel like I made a difference.
*Academy of Learning wants to hire me for the Fall for my own classroom. I am TOTALLY into it, if I dont find something better in the mean time. She also called me this morning to see if she could give my number to a mother who is searching for a nanny. That could be an option.
*so...that is the latest.......I will keep you posted on all things baby and business!
