Another Fun Day

Last night, my parents took us to dinner at Citricos and it was sooo good! Whitney was a celebrity, and gladly proved the gentleman at the next table WRONG when he exclaimed "I cant believe their bringing a BABY to this restuarant...a BABY!?" She is, in fact, a baby...but his assumption that she was going to ruin his meal was poorly placed. She was an angel, receiving many compliments from servers, management, and of course, her doting grandparents :) She ate a TON and never made noise above a few babbles or answering our requests for "What does a dog say?" or "What does an elephant say?" :) She is just the best :) (Im aware I am biased).

These were taken while we waited for our table. The hostess gave Whitney some Cinderella and Mickey stickers...she LOOOOOVES stickers! :)

But seriously, who complains about BABIES or CHILDREN when dining at DISNEY WORLD!? Dude...the entire place is designed for the YOUNG and the YOUNG at heart....if he wanted a "no kids allowed" policy, he shoulda booked a vacation elsewhere, as Whitney was one of 20+ children in the restaurant.

After dinner, outside the Grand Floridian

Doesnt she look about 5 here!?

Today started low-key, but quickly picked up the pace when Susana called and needed to run to the store quickly. She wanted to borrow our car seat, as her hubby had taken theirs to work with him by accident. Instead of lending the car seat, Whitney suggested we let Bells come hang at our house while her mommy and big bro ran some errands. Both girls were in their jammies and had so much fun babbling and following each other around. They shared nicely and clearly enjoyed their last-minute play date. :)

Whitney is leaning towards dropping her glorious two-nap routine, but will gladly tap a 2 hour nap mid-day. When she woke up, it was sooo nice out that we spent time outside watering the plants and pulling weeds together. She loooooved using the watering can and it is tops on my list of toys to buy next time we are at Walmart :) She was so cute following me around and squealing everytime water spilled.

She was on her 3rd outfit of the day, so I decided it was nice enough out to fill her kiddie pool with some warm water from the sink and toss her bathing suit on for some fun. If she was gonna get soaked, she might as well do so in the comfort of her own "pool". :) So we called the boys next door over (and their Mommy, of course), and let the kids enjoy the first really NICE day of the Spring.

After some pool time and some dinner, Whitney and I enjoyed a looong time reading lots of books tonight before bed. She is learning so many new words everyday (she prefers 'B' words like Ball, Baby, Book, Bottle, and a variation of Bailey that sorta sounds like "BAY-yeee" and is super cute :))

She can point to lots of pictures when you ask her "where is the ____" (shoe, car, elephant, cat, dog, banana, etc) and loves to clap for herself when you say "Good JOB, Whitney!!"
(and as I typed this up, I realized I didnt write her 11 Month Update :(...I will make sure to get it done...and probably repeat most of what I just wrote....as Eric has given me an AMAZING birthday gift! He is printing and binding my entire blog. The WHOLE story of Baby Bass...2007 to present day life....the waiting, the trying, the waiting, the match, the waiting, the drama, the homecoming, the fun, and the happily ever after....all printed. 500 pages +. At my fingertips, WITH PICTURES, and ready to share with Whitney as she grows up. :)) He's pretty great, huh? Yeah...Im keepin' him, ladies...paws off :)
