Weekend Update

Whitney was sick most of the weekend :( 103+ fever. icky, icky diapers, pukes, 1,000 loads of laundry, no appetite....lovely, right? She perked up yesterday around 3pm, hasnt had a fever in 36 hours, and is ALMOST back to her happy self. Now if only we could get those diapers to...well...there's really no pleasant way to say it. I just want them to go back to "normal". Knowwhatimean?

She did a lot of sitting in my lap, cuddling, and bathing this weekend (see above: puke, icky diapers). We are starting to joke that Whitney could have lost a limb, and she would simply pick it up and bring it to us with arms outstretched, as if to say "Hey...do you mind putting this arm back on my body? thanks." She does NOT complain. Does not cry. Does not give us much more than a little whining here and there...but we KNEW our little girl was not feeling well.

We went to Target yesterday when she was showing signs of improvement. (Dont worry, i souldnt bring her there to expose the population to the lovely germiness she was carrying. It was a quick trip, and mostly in the gardening section outside.) I carried her from the parking lot and she lifted her head off my shoulder and exclaimed "BALL!!!" when she saw the GIANT, red, concrete traffic barriers that are right in front of the Target entrance. Then placed her head back down on my shoulder for a little rest (before wriggling and squirming and dancing her way out of my arms when we encountered real bouncy balls in the toy section). :)

Here are some pics from last week, in healthier times :) My AWESOME Aunt Gerry sent me a DELICIOUS Edible Arrangement for my birthday!! Whitney, Mac, and I couldnt wait to dig in!

Uh-oh...what is Mac feeding Whitney??

hat bite MUST have had some chocolate in it :) "Oops!"

And right before W showed signs of feeling crummy, we were at my parents house, checking out these guys:

And yesterday afternoon, when she started to perk up, she wanted to help us clean up the porch and pool. She had fun with all kinds of pool toys she wasnt big enough to play with last summer :)

I am hoping she is 100% back to her Whitneyness tomorrow morning :) We were planning to take our nephews to Disney for the day, but Im not sure Im diggin' the idea of "THOSE" kinds of diapers in a theme park....and Im pretty sure other guests would agree. :)

Oh ick, sorry she was so sick! That does NOT sound fun!

I definitely agree that our kiddos would have a FUN play date! They seem to be very similar, both in terms of smarts and temperament. :)

C. is the same way when he's not feeling well. He barely complains but you can still just tell that he isn't himself.

Wow, I guess we got lucky in the baby department!! :)
