Merry Christmas!!

We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Christmas morning with family and friends! Whitney enjoyed opening gifts and playing with alllll of her new toys :) She hasnt picked a clear favorite yet, but she has been eye-balling Bailey's new squeaky toys....(figures)
She loved the wrapping paper and playing Peek-a-boo with it :) She realllly loves the Mickey and Minnie snowglobe that Mac and Gramps got her last night, and the walker seems to be a big hit. She got her very own real remote control (without batteries) and that has been by her side a lot this morning. The Leap Frog DVDs and fridge toy are a hit, too. It has been so fun watching her experiment with the new toys (shoving them all in her mouth as quickly as possible). She didnt seem to know what to play with first!

Eric made the BEST breakfast casserole that we enjoyed after gifts were opened and before Mac and Gramps left, we took some pics in front of the tree and talked about how blessed we all are to have this little girl spoiling us with her hugs and smiles and love this holiday season!

And once the excitement and unwrapping and playing had worn her out, Whitney took a snooze.

When she woke up from her nap, she was ready to go again! Digging into all of her toys (and Bailey's!) and taking off with her "big" present:

We are off to the first of several Christmases in a little bit. Eric's Mom's sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and parents are all gathering at his Aunt's house. Its always a good time and fun to exchange the "gag" gifts of the year. Some years we've done ornaments that begin with the person's name (I got a Kitten ornament. Other years its been any item beginning with the person's name. (I got a KitKat and a Key to his Granddaddy's heart that year.....ok, so it wasnt the key to his heart, per se....but close enough). This year we are each responsible for bringing one $.25 gumball machine toy. We'll all draw numbers and exchange toys in a white elephant style. Its nice to share the time together and catch up, while not getting crazy spending loads of money on gifts. Even though we all live fairly close, we dont see each other often and I always enjoy spending time with Eric's large family.
Tomorrow we will do Christmas with Eric's dad's side of the family and it wil be fun to see the cousins get together. Again, more fun family to look forward to seeing. :)
Then we have another party on Sunday night where we'll get to see our friends Janice and David, and their daughter Allison. We have only seen Allison through her blog since they visited in August, so it will be fun to see the girls interact now that they are both mobile :)
Merry Christmas, from our family to yours!!
