Thanksgiving 2009

Every other year, we spend Thanksgiving weekend at a beach house in Pensacola Beach with Eric's mom, Stepdad, two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and two nephews. This year we were thankful to add two little girls to the madness! :) The weather was great :)
The view from the back porch.

Whitney enjoying her second trip to the beach. She got to actually touch the sand this time!

She thought it was pretty cool, and only chewed on a little bit :)

Daddy and Whitney the day before Thanksgiving

She wasnt too sure about this guy....

Eric's brother, Daniel and his wife Crystal

We spent a lot of time trying to get a good picture of both little girls smiling at the same time...maybe next year!

The obligatory self-portrait :)

More time on the beach

The girls checking each other out :)

The Daughter-in-Laws

The two Erics with their little girls

She was really impressed with her own shadow on the sand :)

Melissa and I packed TONS of toys...and somehow this bin was more entertainment than anything else :) The adults and kids all got a good laugh when Uncle Eric dragged them around the family room :)

Attempting family pics....yikes.

We tried countless times to get Whitney's big, cheesy smile we know and love...but Whitney was not feelin' it this weekend. She smiled, but never on command and rarely big and cheesy. No matter how many times we sang "Its the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...come inside...its fun inside.." or "Dora, Dora, Dora, the EXPLORER!", she wasnt budging.

Next year we will spend Thanksgiving with my side of the family. Uncle Jamey hasnt agreed yet, but we are probably invading his condo in Boston :) Gotta go see where the FIRST Thanksgiving was, right? If it was good enough for the pilgrims, its sure good enough for us! :) Already looking forward to it!
