She pulled up on my legs and peeked out from behind the laptop :) Clearly, my facebooking time is limited now that she is mobile and has an opinion!
How cute is that bow!!?! Sarah Beth, Brett, Jackson, and SB's momma sent Whitney a wonderful Christmas package with this bow. I LOVE her Pebbles Ponytail, and this bow is a great highlight :)
Here are a few of my fav pics from yet another attempt at Christmas card pics. Now that she is mobile, my dreams of that beautiful, perfectly posed Christmas card with the smiling angel baby and the happy Bailey sitting next to her in front of the tree like a Norman Rockwell masterpiece are out the window. Moms who are able to create those moments AND capture them with the camera are my new heros. Seriously. Those ladies know what they're doing. I was not above bribery...but somehow my 7 month old didnt care if we would take her to Disney World...and my dog could only eat so much cheese before he would burp it all back up. Maybe in a few years...
Today was one of my favorite mommy days. There is at least one moment every single day where I think "wow, she's really here". Sometimes its as I fall asleep at night. Sometimes its when she's being especially cute. Sometimes its when I peek at her while she sleeps. But today, as she was crawling through the house, making her way through the foyer into the front window on a mission to stare at the Christmas tree, I stopped and watched. I am so incredibly grateful for the blessing we have been given. All those years of waiting were so worth it. Watching my baby crawl through our house, I thought "wow. She's really here. This time last year (and the year before..and the year before that..) I was trying to imagine what our house would be like with a baby crawling around. Our baby crawling around. I could never picture it. Now...she's here. For good. She's ours. And I couldnt be happier or more proud to be her mother.
