Weekend Update

What a FUN weekend!! I already told you about our Fun Friday afternoon, and Friday night was spent with great friends at our house, eating yummy food and playing Super Mario on the Wii. TOO fun! We laughed a lot and the kids had fun playing before crashing for the night. We always laugh because these are the friends we have hung out with since we were just dating...and back in those days, we would be at their house til 2 and 3am. Now? They were headed home by 11pm with one sleeping princess and a groggy lil man. :) My, how times have changed!!

On Saturday Bailey went to the vet for his teeth cleaning and check-up. He hung out there for several hours while he woke up from the sedation. Poor pup came home and was OUT OF IT. He was pacing back and forth, following us everywhere, and staring randomly into space. I felt so bad for him! Lucky dog got to head to Mac and Gramps house for Whitney's FIRST SLEEPOVER! That's right! I let her out of my sight!! Can you believe it!? Neither can I! :)
One of my best girlfriends turns 30 tomorrow, so we celebrated her birthday at a YUMMY restaurant downtown, and then headed to a cute bar afterwards. A good time was had by all :) (Maybe a little TOO good...?)







So while we partied like rockstars (we are sooo not 22 anymore!), Bailey and Whitney hung out with Mac and Gramps. We picked them up this morning and had mixed emotions about the fact that Whitney didnt evern MISS US! She wanted to stay and play more!! Unfortunately, Mac and Gramps needed naps and we encouraged Whitney to take one, too. :) She came home, wiped out for 2 hours, and was ready to party again :)

When she woke up, we took Bailey to the groomer for the first time. We were going to reschedule since he had such a traumatic experience at the vet yesterday, but thought we should get all the torture out of the way in one hit.
So Bailey went to the groomer looking like this:

He looks so silly!! I think the haircut rejuvenated him though, because he had a ton of energy and was acting like a puppy again! Now, as I type this, he is CRASHED on the couch...not even opening his eyes at the words "outside" or "walk"....very out of character. We are hoping the new do will result in less shedding (or at least more manageable shedding/smaller hairs :))

When we got back from picking up Bailey, we stopped next door to visit with some of our other close friends. Whitney was given an early birthday present while we were there :) Summer, Mike, Cortland, and Conrad bought Whitney her FIRST PONY!!!!

And she LOVES it! THANKS RUDIs!! :)


Whitney skipped her afternoon nap and was awake from 12pm to 7:15pm, active, alert, and ready to play. She decided to try out some new tricks for us tonight.

Climbing up on the chair wasnt cool enough anymore. NOW she has to crawl across the arm.....

!?! Ummmmmm...no. She was very proud of herself when she completed the obstacle course for the camera. I see broken bones in our future. sigh.


After playing Daredevil, she took a bath and was ready to talk to anyone who would listen....including the cute girl in the mirror:

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! We have W's 9 month doc appt Monday morning...any guesses how much she weighs? She was 20 lbs at her appt in November...I'm guessing 22 or 23 lbs....easily. :)
