A Multi-email Event

Here is the series of emails just exchanged between D at the agency, me at home, and Eric at work:

Eric & Kathleen,

M (the counselor) called T yesterday prior to traveling to having lunch with them and got her voice mail. She returned her call a little while later and explained that she is back in the hospital - still having the pain in her side and it turns out that she does in fact have a kidney stone. M (the counselor) and M (the money girl and the one T has become close with) went to the hospital to visit with her. She did not want us to say anything to you guys as she didn't want to worry you. M (the counselor) just walked into my office and said that T just called her and said that she is having a procedure this afternoon to help move this kidney stone. Other than the kidney stone issue, things are going well.

Sincerely,
D.

Within 2 seconds of receiving this email, I fired off with:

Thank you D.
Things are "going well" with the pregnancy, or with the potential for placement? Or both?
Any new red flags or updates on previous conversations/concerns?

Thanks again,

Kathleen

...while Eric fired off this:

D:

Anything in the conversation at the hospital on how she was feeling about the placement or the meeting on Monday? Given what we know from last week (red flags), were they able to probe anymore to determine her commitment at this time? If nothing solid from the conversation, any gut feelings from M and/or M?

Thanks,

Eric

...so then I sent this:

D,
Clearly Eric and I did not get to chat before we both fired off emails to you. :) At least we all know our minds think alike :)

Thanks again,

Kathleen

...so that is the latest. Please keep T in your thoughts and prayers, as I have heard that kidney stones are extreeeemely painful. It is sweet that she doesnt want us to be worried....but I wish I could just go to the hospital and cheer her up or take her mind off the pain...somehow...I will let you know if/when we receive responses from D after we attacked her with emails. I wonder if she could tell we were both waiting on our keyboards with our cell phones to our ears?

Wow! This makes it almost sound like she is still planning on letting you two adopt her. Everyone is still in my prayers. Thanks for the update.
