What I did yesterday afternoon:
(soaked, hand washed, dishwasher-ed, sterilized, etc etc..)

...and more....how many bottles SHOULD I have??

Whitney's Bedroom....
The bedding we ended up buying was my DREAM bedding for my little girl. It is simple, classic, but pink and bright. We didnt plan to, but ended up planning her room around the scallops in her bedding...thus, her paint. We will get her name embroidered on her lil pillow, and her name and birthdate embroidered on her coverlet (that I will not be putting in her crib until an appropriate time...dont worry...)

From the doorway, looking to the immediate left (see the scallops on the wall?? cute, right??!):

A little to the right:

A little more to the right/straight ahead when you look into her room:
(abover her bed, we are stenciling "...and she lived happily ever after." but we didnt find the right paint until today, and I have been hounded for pictures alllll day, so since yall couldnt WAIT..):

Her closet and hair bows...(that picture frame matches the backing in the picture frames hanging on the walls on the other side of the room. It is waiting for our very first picture of the THREE of us. :) THEN, her room will really be complete. :))

Her door, dresser, and mirror we painted and LOVE:

Her dresser/changing table, etc.

And here's Bailey getting used to his little sister's room. He has spent a lot of time sitting outside the bedroom door, watching Eric paint and watching me look through her clothes over and over and over and over....

For the record: this is my DREAM room for my daughter. The furniture is my childhood furniture. My parents moved it from CT to FL and stored it in several inconvenient places along the way. I am so grateful that my little girl will have a little piece of my childhood. :)
The pink of the walls is NOT Pep.to Bism.al OR Barbi.e OR bubble gum pink, despite what the pictures may portray. It is, in fact, the PERFECT shade of "little girl" pink. I am IN LOVE with it. It could not be better. It isnt tooooo bright and it isnt toooo soft. Its jussst right. :)
The cornace board above her window is a "hand-me-down" from our CT house. My mom and I used a crib skirt from my SIL (thank you Aunt Melissa!!), and we re-covered the old, plaid pattern. A few nervous cuts, a ton of staple-gun shots, and a lot of laughs later...we had ourseleves a "custom made" window treatment. :)
That is what we have completed so far. I spent yesterday washing bottles, washing clothes (I had the following piles: pink, hot pink, red, yellow, green/light blue, dark blue/black, purples, whites(warm water), whites (cold water), PJs, burp cloths, and towels/washcloths.) It took me allllll day. I know "everyone" says not to wash all the clothes ahead of time, but ya know what? I have waited a looong time for my little one. I am NOT returning clothes at this point! I dont care if she only wears it for one picture or one afternoon...she will wear it! And if she doesnt wear it, I will pass it on to one of my friends! Whitney has a TON of hand-me-downs from the babies I had at work (ahem, Kaitlyn), and we definitely plan to "pay it forward". I think my absolutle FAVORITE onesie is the one that says "Not Spoiled, but BLESSED!"
I hope yall think the pictures were worth the wait! I promise to update the blog with pictures as soooon as we are legally allowed to share, so anticipate a ton of pictures by this time next weekend!
Love you ALL! And cant wait for you all to "meet" our little girl!!

It is absolutely beautiful! Just perfect for your little girl. Mason uses furniture that my dad made for me when I was a kid. He probably won't use it for his entire childhood, but I think it's cool that he's gotten to use it for some of it. Looks and sounds like you are ALL ready. I hope you and Eric are planning nights out tonight and tomorrow but are also resting up. I'll be anxious to hear how the week goes. Please keep us posted.
I USE DR BROWN BOTTLES TOO. I got a bottle dryer to hang them on too. I have 6, 8 oz bottles that I use now. I love them.
The room looks great! She will love it. Prayers for all for the big day! I wish we could meet her when we are there next week, but I would imagine you will still be adjusting! :-) Hugs!
